Chapter 22: Danny Hurt Me

Kesha's Point Of View:

I woke up the next morning to a note. Danny was gone again. His note said he had to leave early today. I got dressed and went back to earth. I spent time shopping some more. This time, wearing regular shoes. I may be queen of the monsters, but I can be comfortable too. Turning the corner, my body bumped into someone. It was hard enough to knock me to the ground. Before I cussed them out, my eyes looked up to see Karman. I freaked. Shit. I'm supposed to be dead. She blinked a couple of times. She was confused by what she was seeing. "Kesha?" I didn't know what to say. How could this happen? I thought I went to a random city. Did she move here? "You're dead. How... am I dreaming?"

I sighed. I couldn't keep it a secret. "You can't tell anyone I'm alive."

"Why? I've missed you! They could never find your body! They said you were dead!" I couldn't tell her anything thats happened. How Danny took me away to fix me. How I was attacked by monsters and demons. I just married Danny and became queen of the monsters. Also my ex boyfriend found me yesterday. She stared at me. Her eyes unmoving. "You been through a lot, huh?"

I nodded. "Too much to explain. A lot of it you won't believe. I probably can't even tell you." Karman helped me to my feet. A hand touched my shoulder. I looked and saw Theo. Rolling my eyes, "This is not my day." I mumbled.

"Funny running into you two again." Theo said sarcastically. How did this happen? I will have to go else where next time to avoid this.

Karman made a noise. "Get the fuck lost Theo. You're a jerk."

My eyes widened. Theo made a noise. "Why? Because I never fit your approval? Or your first time with me wasn't good enough?" My mouth dropped.

Karman slapped him across the face. "You asshole! Don't ever bring that time up. I learned my lesson. You can hit the road and leave my best friend alone."

Theo rolled his eyes then looked at me. "By the way, your boyfriend stalked me into a club and warned me to leave you alone." He smirked.

What? Danny did what? I got pissed. Danny said he had business to take care of. How could I not see that he was talking about Theo? Now wasnt the time to think about this. My eyes beamed at him. "He's my husband and you better shut the fuck up. He was protecting me." This is why he left in the middle of the night.

Karman dropped her jaw. "You're married?"

Theo covered his mouth in a dramatic way. "Oops! Looks like you guys have some catching up to do!" He walked over and pulled me into his arms. "Want to meet me at my apartment later?" He whispered in my ear. "I promise not to tell your husband."

"Get off of her!" Karman shouted at him. Theo held me close so I couldn't run. His lips got close to me. I shoved him away and kneed him in the balls. He went flying into the trashcans.

"Wrong choice." I said as I grabbed Karman's arm and began to walk away. Theo got up. He rubbed off the trash. "If your husband threatens me again, cops will be involved." I couldn't hear the rest of what he said.
Theo mumbled something and then walked away. Karman looked at me. "Why wasn't I invited? Who did you marry anyway?"

I gave her a seriously look. "I was dead! I'm supposed to invite you to something where I don't exist!"

"You're alive now. Why are you keeping secrets?" The gem was talking in my pocket. It was Danny calling me. "Not now." I whispered.

Karman looked at me confused. "Who are you talking to?" I needed to get out of here. One, I needed to confront Danny about last night. And two, I needed to tell him what happened. "I have to go, I'll call you."
