Chapter 24: True Monsters & Nasty Fights

Kesha's Point Of View:

Danny left the room. I laid there thinking to myself. I wanted to get better. I couldn't stand not being able to talk. Maxinus was acting strange. Danny didn't notice it but I did. He was up to something. I had to figure it out. Crawling out of bed, I began walking down the hallway. The guards were watching me. If only they knew what I wanted to say to them. They could point me to where Maxinus was. But it was probably best for me to stay quiet. At least they knew I belonged here.

There was an open door. As I pushed it open more. There was millions of books in a huge circle. I looked around then sneaked inside. My ears picked up talking. I made my way towards the voices. I hid behind a book shelf. "What are you telling me Evan?" It was Maxinus.

The other demon sighed. "Sitheyn must die. Its the only way you can have control of our world."

"What about Kesha?" Maxinus spoke in a evil way.

"She's human. Use her as a sacrifice, kill her, put her in the human world and erase her memories of us. Whatever you want."

Maxinus chuckled. "Soon. Karman wants to be queen. She wants Kesha to pay for lying to her. She made her popular and now she'll suffer for all eternity." I gasped silently. Karman was in the room. I knew I saw a human. How could she? Maxinus began to move towards the bookcase I was at. I quickly got out and ran down the hallway. I hit someone and fell back a few feet. My head hit the floor. I was holding it for a few seconds.

Danny was running over to me. "Kesha what are you doing wandering around by yourself? You can easily get lost. Are you alright?" My eyes saw his crown. Thank God he was wearing it.

I was screaming in his head. "MAXINUS IS UP TO NO GOOD!"

He raised his eyebrow at me. Maxinus stood there, against the doorway to the library. Danny picked me up. I wrapped my arms around him tightly. He had no idea what Maxinus was up to. He turned into his green monster form and carried me back to his room. Maxinus watched us. I gave him a dirty look. His eyes widened. He knew I was going to tell Danny everything.

Maxinus caught up to us. "Sitheyn, I've been looking for you."

Danny looked at him. "What is it?"

I was staring Maxinus down. Even though I couldn't talk, he was getting very nervous. "Keep walking. I need to talk to you." I spoke in Danny's mind. I was glad only we could hear each other. Danny looked at Maxinus. "Look whatever it is, can you do it? I have to make sure Kesha is alright." His eyes looked down at me. I nuzzled my head under his chin. Not breaking eye contact with Maxinus.

"This needs to be taken care of now." Maxinus said through his teeth.

Danny glanced back at him. "Once I check her to make sure she's okay. I'll help you out." Danny still kept walking.

"SHE'S FINE." Maxinus shouted angrily.

Danny gave him a serious pissed off look. "What the fuck is your problem? She's my wife. She comes before my duties as king. I want to make sure her head is fine if that's alright with you."

Maxinus crossed his arms. "The duke of the west mines is arriving at any moment. They do not like to be kept waiting."

Danny stopped. He was getting annoyed. His eyes looked down at me. "The room is three more doors down. I'll be there in a few minutes." He spoke out loud. He didn't want him to know we could communicate through our minds.

I shook my head. "There's no way in he'll I'm leaving you with this psycho." I spoke into his mind.

He sighed as kissed my forehead. He set me down. Danny knew I was worried about him. I stood by the wall. Danny glared at him. "He said he would be here next week. I spoke to him this morning. Now I don't know what your deal is but you better get it together. Now excuse me, I want to see my wife. Whatever issues you have, you better solve them. Because by the time I get back, your attitude better have changed."
