We'd been best friends for a year already, but I didn't feel the same towards you. I remember the very first time it happened. It was the middle of English. You were moved a few desks away from me because we caused a disruption in class. However you couldn't remember a pesky English word and I sat right next to the dictionaries. You were too lazy to get up, so instead in our first lesson split up, you turned your head and looked at me with pleading eyes. I caught your gaze and looked straight into your dark eyes. I felt something strange in that moment. It was a strange feeling in my stomach. I couldn't place the feeling, but it was what I imagined 'butterflies' felt like. I tried to convince myself I was wrong. The next several times made them increase ten fold. We sat next to each other in Maths because you were good and I was bad. It was the only time we could sit next to each other. As you explained something in trigonometry, I'm surprised I even remember the word, I became lost in your voice and began to be distracted by you. It sounds like a cheesy scene out of some romantic comedy film. But I couldn't help but stare at you as you continued to focus and demonstrate the equation. I wasn't paying attention to what you were saying, but you knew that as soon as you asked me a question and I hadn't responded. You turned your head towards me, looking me straight in the eye. You had caught me staring at you for the first time. I felt my stomach turn to jelly as I looked into your eyes. 'Youngjae?' I heard you say as you touched my shoulder. I immediately cut eye contact with you and felt myself blush either from you touching me or from the embarrassment.
