A/N: Next chapter includes Markson moments
---
Turns out everyone at school knew about Jacksons party, so if I really wanted to go, I wouldn't have needed an invitation. Which I thought was bonkers, but Jungkook told me the famous 'Wise Wang Words'. Three golden statements Jackson has to follow when he has a party;
1. No trashing the house, if you're going to make a mess, do it outside.
2. Don't get the police involved.
3. No one goes upstairs.
I was about to ask him about them, but I remembered how chilled Jackson's parents can be.
--
"Are you going to the party?" J-Hope asked when I was walking to my locker Friday afternoon. I stayed back at school with Hopie so we could do some History study, we didn't realise it but it was getting dark so we decided to call it a day.
"Yeah I have to," I replied, inserting the code into my lock, "I promised his parents I would go."
"You know his parents?" he asked, confusion etched upon his face.
"I used to be his best friend, of course I do! Besides, I'm his neighbour, I don't want to miss out on all the fun, do I?"
"That's awesome! I can't believe you live next to him! That's crazy."
"That's my luck."
"Lucky."
"Very." I sneered as I grabbed my things, closed my locker.
I pulled out my phone and glanced at the time. 5:30. It's so late!
I cursed under my breath before making up some excuse about having a curfew. Luckily, J-Hope took the hint and walked to the school gates with me.
"I'll see you later?" he asked, just before we seperated.
"Sure will! Text me when you get there...actually, just knock. I live in the blue house on his right."
"Awesome." He smiled. "Bye!"
-----
I never noticed it, but the streets are actually super scary at night. I thought I would walk to school today to clear my mind, I forgot about the transportation home.
I was not even halfway there, extremely suspicious towards every noise I heard, when a black convertible pulled up next to me and honked, making me jump.
"Get in loser, I'll take you home." They yelled, beeping the horn again.
"You don't even know where I... Jackson?" I asked, confused. I couldn't see their face, so I approached the car, even though I knew for a fact it was Jackson.
(Note to self: Never approach a car, especially if you don't know who it is.)
"No, it's your long lost Uncle who is secretly a unicorn. Who do you think it is?" he scoffed.
"Why are you here?" I asked, standing directly beside the car.
"I didn't want little Marky Pooh to get scared, hurry up, it's getting late." He mocked me, using a baby tone, obviously trying to get on my nerves.
"I can take myself home thank you very m-"
"Mark just get in." His voice had changed now. It was sincere.
"Whatever." I said blankly, opening the door and getting in.
"Good boy." he ruffled my hair and started to drive home.
"How did you find me?" I asked, after a good 2 minutes of silence.
"I saw you walking, thought I should help out some one in need." he replied, eyes on the road.
" Oh okay...wait why are you back so late?"
"Basketball practice, why were you back so late?"
"History revision."
"Nerd." he rolled his eyes.
"Athlete." I replied and crossed my arms.
"At least I can run 100 metres without having an asthma attack afterwards." He laughed, turning into out street.
"Excuuuuse me, I can run 100 metres without passing out afterwards! At least I can pass all my exams."
"Sorry mum." he said.
"I'm not your mom." I laughed.
"You sound like her." he argued.
"Well you sound like a pain in the as- I mean..back." I corrected myself.
"You don't know me."
"Oh I know you."
"Do not." He fought, nearing our houses.
"I do so."
"Do not."
"I do!"
"Sure."
"Meanie."
"Did you just call me a meanie?" he laughed, and pulled up at his house.
"I did." I laughed, looking at him.
"You're such a loser." he smiled, turning to face me.
His eyes met mine, and for once I didn't see his icy, cold gaze. I saw something much softer, warm. The same eyes I saw years ago.
The kind of eyes I would fall for.
Wait, what?
It wasn't long until his eyes returned to their normal, dark state. That was my signal to get out of the car. Awkwardly and quickly, I removed myself from the car and muttered a thank you. It was then, under the afternoon sun, which, perfectly defined his handsome features, I realised how handsome Jackson Wang actually is...
Wait what?
---
It's been an hour since arriving home and J-Hope had just knocked on the door, looking casual in his football jersey and some casual jeans, whereas I'd gone for the casual 'dress in all black because there is nothing else to wear ' look.
"Let's go! The boys said they'll be here soon." he smiled and dragged me to Jacksons house.
Let the party begin.
