***Ronnie's POV***
I really thought that the camping trip was going to be fun. How could I have thought that?
It was four whole days that I had to be trapped in a tent with Ellie, who I'm pretty sure was just jealous of me.
And putting Timothy and Connor together? Bad idea. I'm pretty sure all Tim did the whole time was threaten him. Why must he be so protective?
And then there was Jacob and Alexa, who just wouldn't just shut up the whole time. They needed to break up already, it would be better for everyone.
I think the only two that got together the whole time were Hannah and Kinley, surprisingly.
On the second day, it was a little bit warmer, so we got to go out on a lake. That was the day that I met Mr. Dillon. Well, I met him before, but only as Connor's friend, not the girlfriend.
He brought jet skis for us to use on the lake, and he ended up staying with us for most of the day.
"Hello, Veronica," He said when he finished unloading the jet skis.
I was already intimidated by the fact that he said 'hello' and used my full name.
"Um, hi Mr. Dillon.. how are you?" I asked nervously, afraid to say something wrong.
"I'm doing wonderfully, thank you for asking, and what about you?" He replied with a friendly smile on his face.
"Just great, thanks," I said, returning the smile.
The awkwardness faded when Connor came over to me and put an arm around my waist. He smiled at me then looked up at his dad for approval.
"I know that you are a very nice young lady, Veronica. You all don't have to be shy," Mr. Dillon said to us before walking off to talk to Timothy and Jacob.
I was actually pretty nervous that he was going to call me out on everything just like Tim does to Connor, but he didn't, thankfully.
"You are so lucky that my dad likes you, I still have to deal with Timothy. To be honest, he still kind of scares me," Connor said to me.
We stayed out on the lake the rest of the day and by the time Mr. Dillon had to leave, everyone was tired and ready to go back to the campsite.
That night, it was very easy for all of us to go to sleep after the long day. The only downfall is that we had to go to a bath house to take showers, and there was a line. I was going to just wait until the morning, but I couldn't live with my hair being wet during the day.
"Come on, get up!" Jake practically screamed at us the next morning. "We've got a lot of things to do today. Let's go!"
"Let me sleep Jacob," I retorted, "It's vacation, remember?"
I picked my phone up from next to me and looked at the time.
Did he really expect us to be fully functional at 7:00 in the morning? I got up anyway because I was excited about whatever he had planned for us. Jacob may be really pushy and annoying at times, but he really knows how to have fun.
"Jacob, I swear to God I'm going to kill you!" I heard Hannah's voice and went outside.
Jacob was holding a bucket and running away from Hannah who was drenched.
I couldn't help but laugh, Hannah is always so put together, and there she was, drenched in water, running after her twin brother on a campsite.
I loved to see that side of her, because usually when I see her she looks like a professional businesswoman.
