***Ronnie's POV***
"You look absolutely fabulous," I said, stepping back and looking at my masterpiece.
Lauren had just finished getting ready for homecoming, and honestly, I was jealous of how great she looked.
I would consider myself kind of attractive at times, but I was nothing compared to Lauren. It just wasn't fair.
"You really think so?" She asked, glancing at me with a worried look in her eyes.
"I really do," I said honestly.
I wish that she had more confidence in herself. But after everything that had happened with her...
"Ross is going to be here soon," Lauren said, looking over at the clock on my wall.
As if on cue, we heard a knock at the doorway. Lauren quickly looked at me, panicking about her hair, while I walked towards the door.
To my surprise, it wasn't Ross that greeted me at the doorway, but Connor's sister Ellie, dressed in a sparkly blue dress.
"Oh," I said, somewhat confused.
"Well I'm just so happy to see you too Ronnie," She said, looking quite offended.
"I'm sorry," I replied, quickly putting a smile on my face. "I was just expecting it to be Ross and you're definitely not Ross."
She didn't exactly look convinced, but she shrugged and looked down.
"I just figured that we haven't talked that much lately because you've been spending so much time with my brother and you'd be excited to see me," She said.
I instantly felt a pang of guilt. I had always spent more time with Connor than her, but in the past two weeks, I had ignored her completely.
"I am excited!" I exclaimed.
Lauren looked at me from the doorway of my room. I motioned for her to come over.
When she saw Ellie, she was so excited that she ran up to her and hugged her tightly.
"Ellie, you look beautiful!" She squealed
"Thanks," Ellie said, looking a lot happier again.
In the short walk to the Franta-Dillon house, we talked to Ellie about tonight. She hadn't been asked by anyone, but she was hoping that a certain person would ask her to dance.
At least she was still going to the dance, I knew that she was going to have fun. She absolutely loves these kind of things. Completely opposite of me, how convenient?
When we made it to the door, Ross was already standing outside waiting for Lauren. When he saw her, his eyes widened. She walked towards him and pulled him in for a hug.
"You look pretty hot," Ross said, smirking at her.
"Um.. thanks," Lau said, the grin off of her face now.
But Ross didn't seem to notice that anything was wrong.
We loaded up in the Connor's car and started to head towards the school. Connor and I tried not to talk to eachother that much during the ride, because we didn't want to make it awkward for his sister.
I used to be so close to her and Connor, but I've been only hanging out with Connor lately, and I honestly feel really bad about it.
When we finally got to the school, we waited for everyone to get out and walk to the gym. Once they were all out of sight, I turned to Connor.
"So what do you want to-" I started.
I was cut off when his lips crashed to mine.
I was caught off guard at first, but I finally relaxed and kissed him back. It was a passionate kiss; he was acting like he was never going to get to kiss me ever again.
