Rin
You could say about gods whatever you wanted, but they sure knew how to have a feast. The tables were filled with various kinds of food, mountains of chicken and beef, pasta, cake and chocolate. I literally moaned at the sight of it. It's been ages since I last hat to eat anything else than bread or snacks.
"Look Rin, they even have beef. Good, I didn't have beef for ages!" Minji next to me squeezed my arm in excitement. "Me neither", I moaned again. A tall, thin boy that reminded me a bit of a fairy looked at me in shock. I winked at him and giggled at his wide-open eyes.
Minji took my hand and sat down at the table. Minji was my best friend and my only one. For the last years, she was the one person that stayed at my side and my only family. I had left my dad at the age of twelve, he was a well-known professor and, let's be honest, not the least bit made for a child. Seven months alone on the streets and I was half dead.
Minji had found me that time, she had already been living alone for over a year, after her mother died, and told me everything she knew about Greek mythology and how to survive.
I filled my plate with everything on the table, even vegetables and started eating. Minji next to me was already half way through with her first plate, when a handsome young man sat down next to her. To be honest, this place had way too many young handsome men, actually all of them were freaking gorgeous.
"Hey, you seem pretty hungry", the guy winked at her. Minjis head turned an odd colour of read and she gasped without making any coherent noises. I just rolled my eyes at them, "Of course we are hungry. If people live on the streets and the only things they get to eat are rice and bread then yes, they dent to be hungry".
The guy winced as if someone bit him and bowed at me, "I am sorry". He jumped from his seat next to Minji and hurried to sit somewhere else.
Minji turned to me and angrily pinched me. "Au! Why did you do that!?" I shouted, holding my arching arm.
"How could you be so mean to him?"
"He is annoying, and impolite. The first thing you do is introduce yourself if you meet someone new".
Minji looked at me as if I grew a second nose.
"What?"
"You are the rude one. He just wanted to talk with us and you had to scare him off right away. Do you know with how many guys I talked so far? None. Especially not tall handsome ones like him".
I just snorted and got a second load of food. I wasn't that mean, right? My eyes wandered over the other chosen ones. Most of them were busy filling their bellies with beef and chocolate, but I caught the boy from before stealing glimpses at Minji. And then my eyes stopped at him.
He was not much smaller than Minjis guy from what I could tell. He looked cute, big eyes and nose that gave him a helpless and innocent look. But the way he stared at me gave me shivers. My hands slowly creeped to the knife in my shoes. My belly tickled, a save sign for danger.
I copied him and stared back angrily. To be honest, I was always pretty proud of the scary aura I gave off whenever I wanted. Normally I even managed to scare of monsters with a sharp look of my eyes. But when I turned to the guy, he only winked at me. He WINKED!
I nearly fell off the chair. How could he wink at my "I am going to kill you if you do anything stupid, so better piss off" face?!
He must have sensed my inner terror, because the boy smiled smugly and turned his attention away from me.
Gods, please tell me that I am not in a team with him.
A/N:
