Hoshi
"Aren't you coming?"
The whole bus was quiet. No one really seemed to know what to do and judging by some of the guys looks, they weren't really happy about that pretty guys command either. Not that I wasn't confused myself. Sure, the gods had a thing for vague information. I mean, there was even one god who only spoke in riddles! So I was not really surprised that, just like always, they did not see any need in explaining anything further to us.
What I hadn't expected however, was that they had chosen a leader for us, without further notice. And that poor guy did not have the smallest clue how to work or interact with others. Lucky for him, Hoshi Superhero was there.
I firmly slapped my hands together, effectively gathering everyone's attention and jumped on one of the driver's seats. "You heard mister pretty hair! Let's go!"
I lead the way out of the bus and, for good measure, pushed Jun and Mingyu with me.
The unlucky leader had been waiting for us outside. He bit his lib in worry and when we got out of the bus, I could see him relaxing visibly. I winked at him and nodded reassuringly. He smiled slightly and waited for the rest to come out before he announced. "We have to get up that hill, there will be a guide waiting for us. He is going to bring us to the underworld and show us the way to Hades palace".
"How do you know that?" The Minghao kid looked at him in doubt.
"Hera informed me about it before we left".
"And why is it only you who can know about the goddesses plans? After all we are all here on this mission. Don't we deserve to know what is expecting us as well", a girl with purple-cray hair crossed her arms in front of her chest and raised a brow.
"Because I am the leader of this group and you don't need to know everything, you only have to follow my words".
"What?" she spat. "You are the leader of this group? I can't remember agreeing to that! And I am definitely not going to be your little puppy, following every of your stupid commands".
"Shut up little second-class god bastard", his tone was cold and he looked down at the girl, "you are not in the position to talk to me like that or demand anything. Be happy that you even got the honour to go on such an important mission. I do not know what bit the gods to let someone as powerless as you tag along. But I don't have the nerves to babysit some useless god's kid".
The girl angrily stared at the pretty boy, she had the long stick on her side held up and her hands rolled into fists. Two more seconds a she would have exploded and probably attacked him. But I rescued the situation by stepping between them and holding up my arms in surrender.
"No fighting", I made a little dance, while wiggling my finger. "We still have a mission to finish". Hopefully that loosened the mood a bit.
Even so the two were still staring at each other in hate. This calls for plan B! I craped both of their arms and pulled them together, locking their hands in front of me and shaking them. "Now we are all friends", I announced with a fake happiness.
Like they had just burned his hands, both pulled their hand away and faced each other in disgust. Well, at least they were not at the others throat anymore. I pushed them a little to get them going and we finally hiked up the hill.
I was talking and entertaining the semi gods, most of the way up. Seungkwan turned out to be a great companion. At one point we had everyone catting and laughing again. Even pretty boy, turns out his name was Vernon, displayed a small smile and cracked a joke. No one had really expected him to say something funny and purple girl's friend was actually so surprised that she stumbled and nearly fell.
The path we took had gotten smaller and at one point even disappeared. It was still dark outside and so no one really know where to go or weather we were still on the right way.
"Any clue which way to take to get to the top?" I stopped and looked at the others. The only answers I got were shaking heads and shrugging shoulders.
But then suddenly the ground started to shake. Small, loose stones started rolling and became bigger until entire rocks crashed down. I moved into a 'ready to fight' position and saw the others next to me pull out their weapons as well.
Suddenly the soil in front of my feet cracked. Long fissures ripped along the ground. It looked like a huge animal had clawed along it. More rocks fell and the ground began to shake. Something told me that this was not just a natural eruption.
As the son of Demeter, the goddess of growth and agriculture I had an inherent knowledge and feel for the ground and dirt around me. Something was about to break through the ground from beneath it. And from what I could tell, the part of earth we stood at would be destroyed and bury is beneath it.
"Move! Get away of the cracks, hurry!", I shouted, pulling everyone with me I could reach. Some of the others had already guessed what was about to happen and with fast steps stumbled away from the place.
A loud growl and the yet strongest earthquake so far, and the stone plate we had stood upon just seconds ago was gone.
"Fuck", Woozi cursed, "this was close". I checked on the others, counting faces and was relieved when no one was missing. "Everyone looks fine", Vernon nodded at me, "thanks for earlier". I smiled at him and waved as if to say "No problem dude".
"Guys", the panicked voice of Emily made us all turn around. "There", she shook lightly and her arm was stretched out, pointing at the huge crater the earthquakes had left. The dust and fog had lifted and now we could see what the earth had so unwillingly spit out.
