The Evil Within

Chapter one: the beginning

Long ago when the world was peaceful, a game that brought smiles and happiness, turn a young man into a demon.

It stared with a duel. People cheered for a man named Zarc who only wanted happiness for others. He commanded 4 dragons with different origins with them he tried to make the people smile. Even with the amazing breathtaking duels the people wanted more violence.

Zarc was forced to defend himself from the other duelists. He brought down every opponent to the ground in pain. He soon felt his dragons turning in to savage beasts. Also a piece of himself loving the thought of having his opponent lie on the ground destroyed.

The toll was to much for him to handle the people's love of total destruction and chaos feed his dragon's dark intentions and his.

One day HE broke free, the dark side has come. The world broke in to chaos trying to escape the dragons wrath.

Through all the destruction a young woman stood there with tears in her eyes. She was Zarc's friend actually it believed she loved he with all her heart and wanted to stay by his side forever.

She heard a voice "Do you love him?" She nodded. "There is no way he came be saved but" he turned to her "we can stop the pain he is in." He then asked "what's your name?" "My name is Ray." She said softly.

He took her to a temple like structure. "What is this place?" She asked. "This is were he will be split." She looked at he confused and shocked. "What do you mean." She turned her attention to an alter. "The world is to far gone to be saved" he then turned to the altar "we can save him from his pain and give the world a new beginning." She stayed in silence for a few moments "I'll do it for Zarc" "Bring him here and we can begin"

She had gather survivors to help her with luring Zarc to the temple. The dragons were in a frenzy state and took out the survivors one by one. Ray was the only one left. She saw a demon who was once the man she loved with all of her heart walking towards her with a demonic smile on his face.

She shouted to the mysterious man "He's here!" When he enter the temple he Zarc was immediately stop by a 4 pillars that shined a light straight at him. The dragons were caught in the light as well. Soon each dragon were on the pillars and Zarc in the middle. The light started to extract the darkness in his heart but the darkness inside of him was like no other. Zarc screamed in pain and Ray watched helplessly with tears in her eyes. When it was done a arctic like cold settled. Zarc's body hit the ground and Ray rushed towards him and hugged him tightly close to her. "Are you okay?" She asked with a smile and tears rushing down her face. "At least I got to see you one last time. I wished we could have had a future together." He said in a weak tone. "I do to." She said still crying. Zarc handed her 4 beautifully made bracelets. "I couldn't decided which one you would like. I was going to give it to you the day I fell to the darkness." "I love them all." She said with joy.

"I'm sorry but his time has come." The man said. "What is going to happen?" She said looking down at Zarc. The world will be reborn and you two will be reborn as well." Ray looked at him in shock. "I on the other hand will die. My life my story ends here. You will both be split in to four versions of yourself but make no mistake you both will not remember each other or others in this case." Ray looked at him and asked "Why four?" He pointed at four dark shards. "Those can only be destroyed by Zarc but right now he is dying so you will be split and sent to help Zarc's other versions not to give in to the darkness." She just nodded and hugged Zarc tighter. "I will begin the rebirth. I see true love from both of you. I hope you 2 or 8 fine each other a love again." He then started the ritual. "I love you" they both said in unison.

Four figures like Ray appeared and each one was wearing one of the four bracelets she received from Zarc. When that was completed Zarc turned into four figures and had one of the four dragons and dark shards. Some a the light consumed the whole world. The mysterious man's last word were "I believe in you"
