The Evil Within

Chapter 14: Discovery

After the incident the guys decided to figure out why it happened and what took over. They told the girls that they want to do this on their own. They only agreed if they call them every day to know that they're fine.

"So where do we start?" Yugo asked. "I don't know. Maybe figuring out what triggered it." Yuto suggested. "So what happened Yuri?" Yugo asked. Yuri stood there thinking what actually happened. All he remembers is what he already to his brothers, him on the ground and getting robbed. "All I remember is what I told you." Yuri thought even harder and remember a shard. "Do you guys remember something about a shard?" Yuri asked. Yuto and Yugo where thinking if they even remember hearing about a shard. A few moments later they remember a dark object. "Was it black and glowing purple?" Yugo asked. "Yes it was." "Then we do know of it." Yuto said. They stood there in silence thinking why is it so significant and what was its purpose. Yuya walked in braking to silence. "I love you too Yuzu and don't worry I'm completely fine bye." Yuya hung up and turned his attention to his brothers. "Did you figure out something yet?" Yuya asked. "We all know of a dark shard so we are trying to see what that has to do with our incident." Yuto said. "I remember that but I remember 4 not just one." Yuya said. "So it's like one for each of us right?" Yugo said "I guess." Yuya replied. Yuri was searching up dark shards on the internet trying to put a image to the darkness. "I can't find anything about that but it seems that the Guide tower has marks that show 4 stone like objects." "How does that help?" Yugo asked. "Because they say that the 4 images are the only black spots on the tower. It also said that it is the same material as the rest of the tower but different some how."  "I guess it wouldn't hurt to look into it." Yuto said

The guys left to the library to get all the information they can about the Guide tower. "Guys look what I found." The others gathered around Yuya. "The book says that the four broken pillars in the tower had images on them but were shattered when the pillars broke. These are the pieces but no one can put them together." Yuya said as he pointed at the images of the shattered pieces. Yugo looked at it closer a found something that blew his mind. "Guys that looks like a Clear Wing Synchro Dragons wing and his tail is above it." Yugo pointed at he two pieces. The guys were shocked to see Clear Wing on the pieces. "We need to see the pieces and make sure it is the dragon." Yuri said. "How its probably locked up somewhere or on display in a museum." Yuto explained. "It said that the pieces are being researched at the museum of ancient past." Yuya said reading an article on his phone. "I got an idea but I might get us in trouble or arrested." Yugo said. They guys looked at each other thing of how bad this might turn out.

The brothers went to the museum and hid from the guards until they left to lock up the museum. Once they did the brothers headed to the research room. "Okay Yugo look for the pieces that make Clear Wing." Yuri said. Yugo got the two pieces he  knew that were parts of Clear Wing as he did Yuto started to see pieces of Dark Rebellion. He started to put them together. "Yuto what are doing?" Yuya asked. Yuto didn't answered but continued to put the pieces together. Every piece went together perfectly and a clear image of their dragons. Yuri and Yuya were amazed as their brothers were finished putting the pieces together. "Clear Wing." Yugo said with no emotion at all. "Dark Rebellion." Yuto said in the same tone as Yugo. "But how and why?" Yuri asked. Yuya then thought of something. "If Dark Rebellion and Clear Wing are the pictures then what if Odd-Eyes and Starving Venom are the other two." Yuya said. Yuri looked closely at the pieces trying to find proof of Yuya's theory. "I found a piece." Yuri then found another one and soon stared to put them together. Just like the others it fit perfectly and showed the clear image of Starving Venom. "The rest is Odd-Eyes." Yuya said as he put the remaining pieces together. They all stood there confused about why the Dragons were on the pillars before they were shattered. "I think we should visit the Guide tower. It might have more answers." Yuto suggested. They left through the back door and headed to the Guide tower.

As the got there they noticed it was closed. "Why is it closed?" Yugo asked. "It 2:30 am that's way." Yuto said looking at his watch. "I guess we go later the then." Yuya said. They left and headed home. As they walked home they Yuya realized something. "Yuri you said you were jumped when the incident happened right?" Yuri nodded. "How would you feel if they hurt Serena or worse?" Yuya asked. Yuri was shocked that you asked the question. He then imaged it and felt rage not anger but pure rage. "I would kill them all and make sure they suffered a slow and excruciating painful death for hurting her." Yuri said with rage in his voice and made a fist that kept on tightening its grip. Yuri knew it was a huge possibility that it would have happened. Yugo and Yuto were shocked at their brothers response. "What if that triggers it? The rage we feel makes us do that." Yuya explained. "But we get mad and it doesn't happen." Yugo said. "Not anger. Rage pure rage." Yuto and Yugo thought it was a possibility reason why it happened. "Why if one of us gets into that state we all turn it to it?" Yugo asked. "I don't know but we need to find out." Yuri said. They got home and went to bed.

In the girls house the Dragon cards were flashing dark and light as they slept. It was like it was swing back and forth from both Good and Evil.
