Chapter 10: My soul and world pt. 2

Yuto ran to the redwood forest. He wasn't thinking about where he was going. He just need to run. When Yuto couldn't run anymore he dropped to his hands and knees crying silently. Yuto looked defeated and lifeless. "Why I'm I like this. Why couldn't say those two stupid words!" Yuto screamed.

Moments later he saw a little girl with a dog running to him. "Please help. My mommy is in trouble." She was clearly in distress. The little girl started to cry and the dog looked upset and restless. Yuto didn't need to think about it. Yuto brushed his problems aside to help the little girl. "Where is she?" When he said that her frown turned into a smile. "Follow me."

They got to a broken bridge. The bottom of the bridge was a rushing river. Yuto spotted the girls mother. She was unconscious on a unstable rock in the middle of the bridge. Yuto dropped his duel disk, deck, phone and two pictures. He grabbed the a rope that used to be attached to the bridge tied it down to a tree and made his way down. "Call for more help!" Yuto pointed in the direction of his stuff. The girl called the first number she found.

Back with Yuya and Ruri they looked everywhere for Yuto. Serena and Yuzu looked west. Yugo and Rin looked east. Yuri was occupying Miss Gracie because they didn't want her to know what's happening. Yuya phone started to ring and saw it was Yuto. "Yuto were are you?!" Yuya said almost screaming. "This isn't Yuto. Please help he is trying to save my mommy and needs help." This shocked Yuya. "Where are you." "At the old bridge in the Redwood. Please come help." After the girl told him he called 911. "Yuya whats happening?" Yuya didn't respond. "911 what's your emergency?" "My brother trying to save this lady at the old bridge in the Redwood." When Ruri heard that her heart stopped. All she can think about is the Yuto horrible things that can happen to Yuto. She immediately ran to the bridge. Yuya didn't notice she was running until he finished the call. "Ruri wait!" She kept running straight for Yuto.

Yuto made his way down and tried to get the girls mother. Luckily there was a small rock path to the woman. It was a small path only one foot can be on it not to mention the rushing water hitting them. Lucky Yuto made it but saw that the river was rising and the rock path wasn't visible any more. "Yuto!" Yuto looked up and saw Ruri and Yuya. The water kept on coming and so the rock he was standing on was under water. "Yuto we called for help they will be here soon!" Yuya yelled. "There's no time the water is up to my knees!" Yuto looked for an out for both the lady and himself but could only find one way to save one of them. He looked at the little girl. She was scared he knew that girl couldn't see her mother die like this. At this point the water reached his chest and hit him hard. The water tried to push him down under. He tied the rope around the lady. "Yuya start pulling the rope!" "What about you!" Yuya was scared that his brother is sacrificing himself. "The faster you bring her up the the faster you can throw the rope!" Yuto replied but he knew it was a small chance he would make it too.

Yuya pulled the girls mother up as fast as he could. Ruri looked at Yuto as he was fighting to keep himself up. The water started to move faster and faster. If it wasn't for the rock he put his back on he would have already been under water. "Mommy!" The girl screamed. The dog ran to its owner and checked if she was okay. Ruri looked at her and saw her head bleeding and her arm felt broken. The girl untied her mother and ran back to the edge. "Yuto I'm throughout the rope!" Ruri ran to the edge where the girl was and was about to throw the rope. The water rush harder and hit Yuto hard enough to smash his head on the rock behind him. "YUTO!!"Ruri saw Yuto's body being pushed down the river. Yuya saw the rescue team arrive. "My brother is being dragged down the river!" Yuya screamed and pointed at him. Ruri fell to her knees thinking the worst. The little girl started to cry and hug Ruri knowing that he might not make it.

Yuto regained consciousness and struggled to reach land. He grabbed a log that was above water. He swam to it. Because of the current he was slammed on it. Yuto dragged himself out and walked away from the river. He then collapsed because of the pain he was in. The it went black.

Yuto woke up in a hospital bed and saw his brothers sleeping on the chairs in the room.

With Ruri she was sitting on a bench across the street waiting for visiting hours. She then grabbed two pictures in her pocket and one was Yuto and his family the other was her and had the word my soul and world. She ran across the street to see Yuto.

"Hey guys what happened?" Yuto asked. His brothers woke up and heard what he said. "Yuto are you okay?!" Yugo asked "Yea but what happened?" "You were found unconscious. The doctors said that you had only one rib that wasn't broken and that your head injury put you in a coma." Yuri sadly looked away when he said that. Yuto was shocked "How long was I out for only a week." Yuya said trying to smile. "Yuto." Ruri said softly as she came in. His brothers left without a word. "Ruri I" "Are you okay?" Ruri said trying to hold back tears. Yuto got up but has in so much pain. "Yuto lay down you ca" she was interrupted by a kiss. She felt Yuto wrapped his arms around her and without a second thought kissed back and wrapped her arms around Yuto. They passion they felt made them forget for a moment everything that happened. When they broke the kiss for Yuto started to speak "I'm sorry if I hurt you and made worry." "No I'm sorry for everything." Ruri said crying. "When I'm without you I feel like I'm suffocating. Your presence fills me with life and well I should have said this sooner. I love you Ruri. I promise to never let you go." "I love you Yuto." They stood there hugging for a while.

"Hi Yuto!" A little girl said interrupting them. "Your that little girl." Yuto said. She ran up to him and gave him a big hug. It hurt him but he didn't show it. "Thank you for saving my mommy." "What is your name little one?" "Ally." "Well Ally your welcome." She looked up at him and smiled. She went to grab Ruri and pulled them both into a group hug. Ruri and Yuto smiled that each other and quickly kissed each other. The little girl giggled when she saw them kiss.

"I'm going to my mommy's room bye." Ally ran out the room. Yuto noticed a card like necklace around Ruri's neck. "What is that?" He asked. She opened it a showed his Dark rebellion inside of it. "I'm keeping this with every where I go." Ruri said. Yuto smiled and kissed Ruri one more time.

When the guys came back 2 hours later they saw Yuto and Ruri sleeping on the hospital bed cuddling together. They shut the door to let them have their moment.
