Founder's Day

Dani's PoV

"Urgh, I can barely move in this dress," I complain to Elena.

"Look Dani it's just for one day, besides you will probably only be wearing it for the morning anyway," Elena informs me.

"Alright, let's get going shall we," I say.

She nods and we leave to the town square.

I spot, Stefan and Damon a little ahead of me. As we approach them me and Elena courtesy.

It doesn't take long before Damon disappears and Stefan walks up to us.

"I found out that you birth father is John," Stefan blurts out.

"John?" Elena asks, shocked and surprised.

I did not see this coming at all.

"Is that even possible?" I ask.

"Well, there's no proof, but he dated Isobel when she was a teenager, and he was the one who brought her to your dad's office for the delivery," Stefan explains.

"My whole life, I never liked this man. I---" Elena says.

"I'm sorry. I just--I wanted to tell you before Damon dropped it on you in some typically inappropriate way," Stefan apologises.

"I'm happy that you told us. I'm just I really hope that it's not true, " Elena says, "what am I supposed to do? Do I just confront him and say 'are you my biological father?'"

Stefan shrugs, "I guess when your ready."

"I'm never gonna be ready," Elena states, "Stefan I have enough problems with the family that I actually care about."

"Right, Jeremy read your journal, he hates me too you know," I say, "but he has known since miss mystic falls."

"Wow, great," Elena says sarcastically.

After the founders parade I stayed with Elena and Stefan. It was nightfall and we were walking through the town square when Damon walked up to us and grabbed my hand.

"Uh, what are you doing?" I ask.

"Saving your life and Elena's," he responds, "15 words or less---tomb vampires are here. Founding families are the targets. Get them out of here now."

"Where are you going?" Stefan asks.

"That's more than 15 words Stefan," he says before rushing off.

"Wait, Jeremy's out here somewhere," I say.

"Let's go find him c'mon," Stefan says dragging both of us away.
