Vicky, A Vampire???

Dani's PoV

We make it back to the house and we walk into the kitchen to find chaos erupting.

"What's going on?" Elena asks Matt.

"She's really messed up," Matt replies.

I go over to Vicky and check if she is okay but Stefan pulls me away.

"Dani, back up."

He checks her over before he looks into her eyes.

"Vicki, look at me. Focus. You're gonna be fine. Everything's gonna be fine," Stefan compels.

"Guys, take her up to bed. Shut the blinds. She's gonna be okay," Stefan tells them.

Me and Elena stood back and watched confused as Jeremy and Matt take Vicki upstairs. Once they go Stefan moves back over to us.

"You know what's wrong with her?" Elena asks.

"Yeah," he replies.

"What is it?" I ask.

"She transitioning."

"Transitioning to what?" Elena asks.

"A vampire."

"What?" We excliam.

"This has to be Damon. You said he gets even not mad," I said.

"Dani's right, Damon must have gotten to her. She's new. She hasn't completed her transformation yet," Stefan informs us.

"H-how does she do that?" I ask, shaking slightly. Elena grabs my hand comfortingly.

"She has to feed on human blood," Stefan answers.

"And what if she doesn't," Elena asks as I'm too scared to say anything.

"She'll die."

"What!" I exclaim, no longer feeling upset or scared but angry, angry at Damon.

"How long does she have?" I ask.

"She may only have a few hours," Stefan replies.

"She's upstairs with him right now," Elena states, pacing back and forth, panicking.

"It's okay. She doesn't know what's happening to her yet," he says, calmly.

"So when is she going to know?" I ask recovering from my small outburst.

"Right now, she doesn't remember anything. A part of her is still human, but slowly, the deeper she gets into the transition, the memories will start to come back, and then she will know that has to make the choice," Stefan says.

"The same choice you made?" Elena retorts.

"Elena!" I exclaim.

She just looks at me blankly before walking off into the kitchen to distract herself. I turn back to Stefan.

"I'm sorry this is all new to both of us. I guess it's just hard to realise the new dangers and threats that are actually in the world," I apologise for Elena's reaction.
