Stefan's PoV

I gasp awake from my dream. I sit up and notice Damon sat in my room.

"Bad dream?" He asks.

I just try and recover, ignoring him.

"Do you know how easy it was to get inside your head just now?" He says, "you really need some human blood. It might even the playing field. Football reference. Too soon?"

Angry at him I get up and grab the letter opener on my desk. I throw it at him, using my vampire speed and it lodges itself in Damon's chest. Damon just looks at it annoyed and stands up. He takes it out and looks at me.

"Alright, I deserved that," he says, "but I just wanted to let you know, they caught the culprit. The animal responsible for killing coach tanner and all those people."

I look at him confused. Why was he covering his tracks?

"What are you talking about?" I ask.

"It was a mountain lion. Really big one. It attacked a hunter this morning. It's all over the news," he informs me," deadly beast captured, all is well in Mystic Falls."

"Why would you cover your tracks?" I finally ask.

"I've decided to stay awhile. I'm just having too much fun here with you, Elena and Dani," he tells me.

"Can't touch them now," I remind him.

"Well, the vervain keeps me out of her head. Maybe that's not my target," Damon says, "believe it or not Stefan, some girls don't need my persuasion. Some girls just can't resist my good looks, my style and my charm and my unflinching ability to listen to Taylor Swift."

He then stabs me in the stomach with the letter opener that I threw at him. I groan. As I fall to the floor.

"This is John Varvatos, dude," he says, "Dick move."

He then walks out and leaves me on the floor, to remove the letter opener that is currently stuck in my stomach.

Dani's PoV

Me and Jenna were stood watching the TV, while Elena puts things away in the kitchen.

"Scum ball, scum bucket," Jenna mutters at the screen.

Me and Elena look at her.

"Who are you talking to?" I ask her.

"Him," she replies, pointing at the screen.

"The news guys?" Elena asks.

"Also known as Logan 'scum' Fell," Jenna tells us, "did you mum ever tell you why I moved away from mystic falls?"

"Oh, no way," I say. Elena laughs with me.

"You and him?" Elena asks, "He's cute."
