Cheerleading had passed and me, Bonnie and Elena were now at our house cooking dinner, waiting for Stefan to arrive.

"You explain it. Last night, I'm watching 'nine-0', a commercial break comes on, and I'm like, 'I bet it's that phone commercial!' And sure enough, it's that guy and the girl with the bench, he flies to Paris and he flies back. They take a picture," Bonnie explains to us, about how she predicted an advert popping up on TV.

"Wow," I say.

"Oh, come on. That commercial is on a constant loop," Elena says. I nod my head, agreeing with Elena.

"She's right, you know Bonnie," I say.

"Fine. Well, how about this? Today I'm obsessed with numbers," Bonnie starts, I look up at her curious, "three numbers. I keep seeing 8, 14 and 22. How weird is that?"

"Maybe we should play the lottery," Elena says to Bonnie. I laugh at her while Bonnie just rolls her eyes.

"Have you talked to your grams?" I ask.

"She's just gonna say that it's because I'm a witch. I don't want to be a witch. Do you want to be a witch?" She asks us.

I shrugged in response.

"I don't want to be a witch," Elena replies.

"Putting it in a nice bowl isn't fooling anybody," I say watching Elena pour some chips into a red bowl.

She laughs at me.

"Ok, serving spoons," Elena asks, "where are the serving spoons?"

"Middle draw on your left," Bonnie says.

Elena goes to where Bonnie says and finds the serving spoons.
"Okay, so you've been in this kitchen like a thousand times," Elena says.

"Yeah that's it," Bonnie says.

The doorbell rings, indicating that Stefan is here.

"Ok, he's here," Elena says, walking off towards the door.

"Don't be nervous Bonnie. Just be you normal, loving self," I say.

Bonnie nods. She then stands there and mutters," birthday candles." She pulls open the drawer closest to her and sure enough the candles were there. She notices me looking, and I look at her.

"I won't say anything," I reassure her.

"Thank you," she replies.

Both of us were shocked but we played it cool and sat back down at the table waiting for Stefan and Elena to come back in.

We ate dinner in silence and it was really awkward. Things didn't become  little less awkward until Elena asked Bonnie to tell Stefan about her family.

"Why don't you tell Stefan about your family?" Elena asks.

"Um, divorced. No mum. Live with my dad," Bonnie says.
