Storm Chaser

44 8 2

She vowed one day
To make her way
To chase the storm
Not break down her form

She would not fall,
No, not at all.
Because she'd embrace the rain
Not let it develop her pain.

She will lash at lightning,
Never again will it be frightening,
But only a flash in the dark
A disappearing mark
That leaves a trace
Never on her face.

She will not cower at thunder
Only listen in wonder
For this is like a song
That will not go wrong

And at last
The storm is the past
For she has won
And here comes the sun.
