Yo!
Mi nombre es Jan.
No this isn't a Spanish book. I don't think I can write one of those. This is a book about my life from this point in time, 2011.
Cause it would be interesting writing a book during this 2012 destruction everyone is talking about.
Hahaha.
But ya. My name is Jan incase you live under a rock, and by that I mean have never watched Dora. Or if you just can't speak Spanish at all. Tomorrow is new years but tonight my family and I are staying in Acersfield, the country part of Municipal city which is located in America. I have come here with my family from Kenya, which is like the best place in the world for national parks and wildlife.
Worst place to be if you don't like corruption. But I still like it there.
Anyway with the story...I wake up at 7:13 today and groan. Groan the loudest groan I have groaned in my life. Just used a Hyperbole there. I get out of the bed I'm sleeping in and walk to the desk. On the desk is my laptop. I open it and start playing TF2. That is until my mom walks in and tells me to get ready for the day. I walk over to the kitchen and get my breakfast. Classic tea and bread! Just how I like it! I slowly eat my breakfast (Hey the tea is hot) then shower and put on a red t-shirt and red shorts. I like red. I also like fire, flying, and superheroes. Then there's books, movies and video games. I think the guy who invented the DSi was a GENIUS!
Soon we are starting the day! That is packing up the Toyota we are borrowing and driving to Acersfield. To a place called Farmstead Acers Camp. Very famous among schools apparently. Also very famous for child disappearances, but those only happen to the schools. Never has happened to a family. And I hope it stays that way. We drive in to the camp and I see a random old man shuffling about. I look closer and see that he works at the camp. But all the other (few) employees look at him like he is a new guy.
So I just assume that he is new.
"We're here folks! Oh look! Some school is here!" My dad says. I look at the (massive) school bus and for a moment I think I see an old man sitting on it. And three kids are glowing slightly.
"Weird." I think. But then what I was seeing just dissapears so I assume it's my imagination. We unpack and head over to our cabin, which is actually kinda spacious. The new employee is there with some cranberry juice.
Sweet!
I immediately get some juice and thank the employee.
We then unload and relax a while, well my parents relax, I'm checking out the woods.I walk across the woods, tree after tree go by. I then walk by a cave. It looks dark, straight from the mouth. But I can't explore yet. I'll explore at night to add to the tension.
Hey I am writing a book!
So I decide to walk back, with the fallen leaves crunching under my feet. I was thinking that it would be cold or snowing, but it still seems to be Autumn.
And the way I wanted to see snow for the first time in my life.
I walk back from tree to tree and suddenly there is some big shadow on the ground.
"What?" I think. The shadow moves on and shrinks, and after a while, in the distance I see some sort of flying object.
And it's looks like an alive flying object! But I dismiss it as a bird as I continue going back to the camp. I am so excited for the party tonight! It's gonna be wicked!
Better not be ruined by some child kidnapper.I know it's not the best written chapter in the world. Doing first person AND present tense is new to me so bear with me. It will improve.
Hope you enjoy the rest of the book!
Peace! Also, new addition, if you are uncomfortable with my writing style, then don't mention it. I'm tired of people saying I'm telling the story too fast, please do not tell me how to write my books.
Thank you.Peace!
