I fly over Hells Gate National Park, looking for a place to stay. Tears are rolling down my cheeks as I fly past trees and random animals. My mind constantly replays the nights events again and again. The cries of my parents, the curse my dad set on me. The tears just keep coming. The dragon is silent, having just told me how he took control over my body in fear that I wasn't strong enough to take to the sky. And for effect he made me roar. No wonder my own dad hates me. My wet eyes scan the surroundings in search for a place to stay. And it's there, a beautiful mountain that stops the waterfall of tears that I was crying. And (bonus points) I barely see it from the view points set up for the humans.
Ya it is that amazing.
And not only that, but it's untouched by man.
I can't say the same thing for dragons. The dirt is messed up, unsettled.
There are claw marks on some of the tree trunks.
And some spots where flames had licked the earth and burnt it.
Okay so maybe it's not that perfect, but it will do until I can set a new home for myself.
I'm actually thinking of finding a small island in Lake Naivasha, but I don't know if there is an island there.

I see a small shack and a small cave next to the shack.. I land and shift.
'Wait! We don't shift do we. Not unless..." the dragon starts.
"Unless what?" I ask it.
"Unless the transformation went wrong. Like it did for us..."
"Oh."
Shift eh? Not 'transform' or 'change'.
Interesting.
So anyway.
I walk into the cave and all of a sudden flames come from inside the cave.
I half expected myself to burn right there and then.
But then of course I'm immune to fire. (Bonus poin!)
The flames stop and I hear something get up from a sleeping pose and walk towards me.
And stupid me is frozen from fear.
"Uh... hi." I say.
The dragon takes one look at me, then hits me with his tail. I go flying into a tree and hit my head. And my backside.
Well how about the whole back part of me?
"Owwwww." I groan.
"Teach anyone to invade my territory." The dragon, now human scoffs.
"Just owwww." I complain.
"Now what are you doing here?" The dragon asks (remember I don't know his name, and he's in human form.)
"I, um was looking for a place to live for a while. I actually didn't know that you live here. My apologies I'll be going now." I explain.
"Damn right you will this is MY territory!" The dragon scoffs. I quickly shift and take flight. Great! Now I have to search for another place to call home! Or I could go back to my old home...
"No! You can't. How can you explain to your parents what you did?" The dragon says.
"Your right." I tell it.
So I continue my flight past trees and trees. Only problem now is that it is no longer early morning, it's in fact late morning (or do you call it early afternoon?)
So I'm in danger of being spotted by more insufferable humans who can't just leave anyone alone because they feel just a tiny bit threatened!
Okay calm down.
What did I just call my former species?
And where'd the anger come from?
I better find a home soon.

Well the situation is getting worse. I found three other perfect places.
That are owned by more dragons.
And none of them are nice.
None of them!
They refused entry, refused my pleads for help.
One of them even pushed me off a cliff, just to find out if I actually was a dragon!
So I'm starting to get worried and scared, nights falling fast.
I'm also getting hungry, having flown for so long.
So I snatch an antelope and hope I can find sanctuary soon.
And yes, I find a quick and easy solution.
Just settle atop any cliff!
And a I pick my cliff, far away from the other dragons. And I settle on this cliff. No one is in it and no human seems to have touched it.
It may be more perfect than I thought.
I settle down and put down the antelope carcass. Then I eat, and get blood all over my snout, and fangs.
Do I care?
Not really, I'm red anyway.
The meat tastes fine though. The metallic tasting blood flows through my digestive system and re energises me.
But I couldn't get comfortable yet.
I know that humans haven't even seen this place yet.
So I fly off from the top of the cliff and begin to make a cave from the side of the cliff.
There are like zero caves in the area.
At first it is hard, me having to tear at the rock and soil, hoping the structure doesn't collapse.
But when I have made a small hole, I start to breath fire onto the hole, melting everything, but when it cools in matter of one second, the structure is stable.
So I continue using my fire until I have myself a good cave. It's just about big enough for two dragons but I'll expand.
Right now I need to sleep.
Hey every creature needs to sleep, even if it's for four hours.
Let's see, I have worked on this cave for...
About six hours at least.
It took that long.
