The metal door opens to reveal two armed men. One of them walks in to the room.
"Come with us." The man says. Thomas shrugs and I follow the man out of the room. We fall into single line, the man, myself, Thomas and the other man. We walk along a white corridor. It seems that everything here is white, white and white.
The man leads us to another door and opens is, then Thomas is thrown into me and we both fall into the next room.
"Let's see how they do." Man 2 says. They close the door leaving Thomas and I to see what lies ahead of us. I look at the rest of the room. It is much larger than our room, and there are lines of armed men across the room. In the middle of the room there is a short table, with the lion, wolf, snake, bird and dragon sitting around it.
"Sit down. Jan in your dragon form please." The dragon, who is head of the table, says.
I shift and sit on one end of the table. Well more lay down than sit. Thomas kneels next to me.
"Don't worry about not speaking English, we can translate." The wolf says.
"Really? So you can understand whatever I say?" I ask.
A machine on the middle of the table says what I said in English.
"Really? So you can understand whatever I say?" It says.
"Yes." The snake replies.
"So why are we here?" Thomas asks.
"To tell us your story." The dragon replies.
"First Jan. Please speak quietly into microphone near you." The wolf says.
Oh where do I start?
How about from when my parents where planning the trip.
How about from where I started this book?
Or from when I ran from my old home?
Gosh there is so much I need to say.
And so I start to tell them my story. You know the story, yes I'm telling them the story that is written in this book, in these pages uh, binary digits and memory and computer stuff.
They all listen intently. Thomas'es eyes open a little bit wider each passing minute. The shifters nod theirs heads occasionally and would shake them when I said stuff that they did not approve. Such as me getting spotted.
I end by speaking of the fight and getting captured and all the events leading to this conversation.

"Interesting." The wolf says.
"The part about leaving his parents chocked me up a bit." The snake confesses.
"We're not here to talk about our emotions. Clearly Jan made some mistakes but the third time was because of the danger that was eminent. He had no experience of the laws in place and isn't a proper shifter. I let him go. How about the rest of us?" The lion says.
"I have no regrets letting him go." The bird says.
"I let him go." The wolf says.
"As do I." The snake says.
"I will let him go, but he must learn from this situation." The dragon says.
Inner chant let's go:
YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES!
"Now for Thomas'es turn, Thomas what is your story." The lion asks.
I haven't heard this one.

"On my way home from school, on the 8th of December, I was walking down the lane to my house. It was dark and I cursed the school bus for being so slow. Out of the shadows a man walked towards me. I just thought he was another visitor to one of the houses. He walked near me and I smelled some blood coming from him. So I paid notice to the man abd saw that he was leaning towards me. I tried to run but his hand grabbed onto my arm and pulled me closer to him. I felt something poke my neck, fangs. I tried to scream but he covered mouth. I felt the blood being drained from my body and I collapsed, to weak to move. There was something different about that vampire, he made it so I didn't have to fight any vampire instincts. The next thing he did was open my mouth and spit in it, abd force me to swallow that spit. I chocked but the spit went down.
"You'll infect others. Do not mention this moment." The man said before running off into the darkness. I struggled to get up, still weak but I managed to get home. The moment I got home though, I felt alone. I had no one to relate to and infecting my parents, would be difficult. Mainly because they wear high collars all the time and they are nearly never around the house. So I decided to go for the next best thing. My good friend Jan, who goes to school with me, or did now. But when I went to school the next day, he wasn't there, he had already gone for the holidays. And so I waited and grew a little bit thirsty each day. My thirst for blood was incredibly strong when school opened again on the sixth of January, but once again Jan wasn't there. I was starting to grow desperate but my luck came when someone had a nosebleed late at school and it wasn't cleared up. My thirst for blood was so strong that I didn't care that I was drinking from the floor. And it tasted wonderful, oh so wonderful. I waited for Jan, for two months I didn't see him. Then he came back, I had heard the family eating. So I decided that that time was my moment. I ran past lightning abd rain to get to the house, the thirst for blood being strong again. But I was defeated by the fact that Jan was already a dragon. And so I set out to make him human, so not to be alone and to quench my thirst for blood. But Jan had escaped and I was left thirsty. That left my vampire side angry, and it decided to attack Jan's parent's. Oh how terrible it was, seeing the vampire side of me attack Jan and his parents. My vampire side snapped out the moment the two vampires were killed. And so I ran behind the couch and hid there, I realised that the two dragons were Jan's parent's. So the couch remained the safest place. You know the rest of the story, it's not much different from what you saw and what Jan told us." Jan told us.
Wow. He excluded some parts when I was interrogating him. But the story is just dark. I feel kinda sad for him.
But the big question is.
Will they let him go?
