Chapter 5

After spending the entire day trying to tell my parents about what I really am.
But I fail.
So now I'm thinking on how to fake my death. Part of it involves killing and tearing apart some flesh to act as my own, scaring my dogs senseless and hurting one of them a bit, then becoming human, screaming and flying away as a dragon.
Perfect plan!
And so I wait on the point of execution. What I'll do is go out when it's dark, but my parents are awake in order to 'see the stars' then performing my plan.

Okay so it's night now, and I'm outside. I become a drago and silently fly a short flight to someone I know has cows. I fly past trees and houses till I spot a cow grazing in the field. I dive down and tear at the animals flesh, grabbing some meat as I go. I think I hear the cow shout "help"
But I might have just imagined it. I fly back to my house as fast as possible. When I arrive I drop the flesh on the spot I plan on leaving from and look for the dogs.
Or let them find me.
The dogs begin running at me, Barking and snarling.
And hiss and snarl back and start attacking them, only enough to scare them away.
And they do, with a few cuts and bites, but they know their weak against me.
"What was that?" I hear dad say.
I hear the door open and know the time is right.
I change into a human and scream, for a good 3 seconds before changing back. I wait for my parents to arrive and when they do, I start to fly.
Or get ready to.
Because in that last moment I see them sadness fills my heart and makes me nearly want to continue with my human life.
But I feel my wings flap themselves and me fly away, roaring in triumph.
My parents cries as they realise that I'm gone.
And my dad's promise to hunt me down and kill me.
