Chapter 10

I forgot how delicious human food was. That was until I ate breakfast that morning.
And it wasn't the normal bread and tea.
Oh no it was the European package.
I'm still eating it. I've eaten the bacon, eggs, tomatoes but the toast, sausages and more still have to be eaten.
And the food isn't because of me.
No it's Sunday, the one day where we have European food.
Or well when my parents have European food...
Um.
A lot has happened. But for me Sunday is the one day when I mingle with humans for a while. Well the whole day. I actually found a good job on Sundays. But I recently quit because I got all that I need. Now Sunday is just nothing, another day of doing the same thing, mostly doing nothing. I mean I would need money to do anything!

Now I wish I thought things through a but more because I'm trapped for the whole day. With nothing really to do. It's not much fun. You see my parents are working and I can't fly back. Oh and worse of all its not sunny.
It's rather dark and rainy and luckily I remembered that lightning strikes a lot of time in my area. My parents actually had three lightning rods installed on our roof. So its actually a bit too dangerous, even for a non flying human. I just hope that the storm will pass during night so I can be safe trying to go home. Yes my real home that I have lived in for the past two months.
I'm a big accepter aren't I?
"You accepted being a dragon rather quickly. You accepted your new home almost immediately. You accepting being distant from your parents. Even now your accepting the fact that you might not get home tonight." The dragon informs me.
"Thanks a ton for the information that I already knew." I say. I stare out towards the dark, gloomy sky. It's going to be a rather dull day.
Knock knock knock!

I rush to the door and open it. There I see my good old friend Thomas. I'm very surprised to see him, slightly wet. Thomas lives a door in the fence away from this house. He must have had some trouble coming to this house....
Oh no.
He's gonna want to know what happened to me isn't he?
He's gonna want the truth.
How am I going to get past this?
"We'll deal with that later. Let the boy in." The dragon says.
And so I let Thomas in.

"Thanks. You know I wasn't sure weather I would get killed or not. I do hope that I passed death to find out something important. Right?" Thomas blurts out.
"Good afternoon to you to." I say.
"Oh sorry. It'd just some lightning came so close to hitting me." Thomas apologises.
"It's fine. Now rewind. Why are you here?" I ask.
"I would like to find out where you have been and what you have been doing for the last two months." Thomas replies.
Should I tell him?
"Well I've been living somewhere else for a while now." The dragon forces me to say.
"Thanks a ton!" I angrily tell the dragon. All I get is a snort back.
"Really where?" Thomas asks.
"Near Naivasha." I tell him.
"Oh cool with whom?"
"Uh with myself."
"Really? And where do you go to school?"
"I don't..."
"Oh so your doing homeschooling? That's cool. And food?"
"I have a job, helps pay for everything."
Thomas seems to accept everything I have said. I walk over to one of the walls and rest on it. Then I suddenly feel someone push me on the wall with their arm. And that arm is positioned on my neck so I start chocking. Luckily I turned around before any of this happened so I can talk to the human that dared do this.
Thomas.
"Thomas! Wh-what?" I weeze.
"Now tell me the truth. Who are you now? Don't think I didn't notice your tongue. Don't lie I will electricute you!" Thomas snarls. He is holding a legit tazer in his free hand. That worries me.
"Okay okay! You have me beat. Just let me go I'm running out of oxygen." I plead.
"And let you free? As if. You have enough O2. Tell me your story!" Thomas demands.
Chill dude!
"Okay! I'm a dragon! I became a dragon on new years. I have been living in a cave eating zebra and antelope and vegetables for the last few months." I tell him.
"Damn it! I was so close but only by five days?" Thomas says. I have no idea what any of that means or what is happening.
"Can you let me go, I feel ready to pass out." I ask. Thomas snarls and let's me go. I collapse on the floor and gasp for oxygen. Once I have paid back my oxygen debt I'm ready for my own questions. And with Thomas knowing that I'm a dragon this should be easy.
So I slowly get up and Thomas has put the tazer on the table. I partly shift so that a wing is attached to my body and use that wing to slam Thomas against the wall. This time I'm kind enough to let him breath. But he can't run.
"Now tell me, how do you know so much and why do you keep snarling in a way that humans can't?" I ask.
"Haha, looks like the tables turned." Thomas says.
I start snarling and press Thomas harder against the wall.
"Okay okay! I'm not human either. I'm a vampire. Became a vampire on the last day of school. I wanted you to join me but you were already on break that day. So I waited till school opened but you had left. I hoped to meet you today and finally infect you but your a dragon now." Thomas explained. I let him go and get rid of my wing.
"Be careful! There is a way to get rid of me and become human. You should get electrocuted too much as a human. That tazer. It can be your doom for this. And he knows this. Look he's going after the tazer! Get to the door!" The dragon says. I casually walk to the door while Thomas grabs the tazer. And instead of putting it back where it brought it out of, it remains in his hand.
"You know there is a way I can accomplish my wish. Come here so I can electrocute you." Thomas says. I open the door and run out, into the rain.
"Oh so that's what you'll do instead, get hit by lightling? Don't worry becoming a vampire will save you." Thomas shouts. I run to the nearest safe place, a little hut with a lighting rod in place. I rest a bit there and remember that I had placed my journal here.
Haha! I'm safe! But not for long. Soon Thomas is running after me and I'm running away again, hoping that I don't get struck.
"If I can't get you now I can lure you, I wonder how your parents taste like?" Thomas shouts.
Oh man I don't want my parents to be dragged into this!
So I shift and turn to face Thomas, who has the tazer.
And I realise something. It's raining so the electricity will be able to jump through water particles and...
Oh no!
Wait don't I have to be human? Yeah that's right.
And Thomas has realised this as well.
Yeah and I just realised my mistake. In writing this.
Thomas decides to attack me instead and comes running at me. I see a glimpse of his teeth and see fangs.
And I prepare myself to attack.
But something happens. I don't know what.
A high pitched sound hits my ears and hurts me. I fall to the ground dazed and feel myself shifting back. I struggle to get up still shifting and awkwardly run away. Until the shifting is complete and I run properly. I hear the click of a button and hope that my body is mentally prepared for what is going to happen next.
I jump in the air and shift really fast.
Then I get blasted by the high pitched noise but I try to ignore it.
Then the electricity reaches me.
And I fly up into the clouds as fast as my poor body can go, hoping that Thomas leaves my parents alone. Hoping that lighting doesn't hit me.
And I fly through clouds and soon I'm safe, above the clouds.
But higher I rise.

This chapter took like 12 hours to write. I've had to force myself on the last leg of it. It also happens to be the longest chapter I have written in Wattpad alone.
Peace!
