Knock Knock Knock.
My parents eyes open in fear. Someone wants to get in, but the porch is covered in fresh blood and I'm in a heap in one corner of the living room.
"This is the shifter protection force. We are here on the account of a dragon seen flying through the sky by one of our spies. Let us in!" Come a voice from the front door.
"Uh Jan, remember that guy we met earlier today. I think I recognise his voice." The dragon says.
Oh sugar honey ice tea!
"What do we do?" My mum asks.
A little bird flies in through the chimney and settles next to me.
"Oh dear your in big trouble." The bird says.
In English!
Out the corner of my eye I see Thomas rise up from the couch. I look at him. Thomas decides that it isn't safe to come out yet, and ducks behind the couch once more.
"If you don't let us in we will let ourselves in, you have 10 seconds." The voice says.
"If recommend you let them in." The bird says louder, so that my parents can hear. They look at the bird in shock for a few seconds then decide to open the door. A lion, wolf, snake and dragon enter the house.
"Thank you.'' They each say to my parents, before making a circle around me, the collapsed dragon.
"I told you what would happen if you got spotted again.'' The dragon tells me.
"Hey what are you doing?" My dad asks.
"This dragon has been spotted twice by humans and was nearly spotted three times." The lion says.
"He's not the threat, the vampire behind my couch is. That vampire nearly killed all of us." My mum says.
The snake brakes from the circle and goes to the couch. I can hear Thomas starting to hyperventilate from behind the couch. The snake disappears behind the couch and I hear Thomas scream, then silence.
"Did you kill him?" My dad asks.
"No just put it to sleep. I can see the fangs and blood on this thing." The snake reports.
"Good we'll cart the vampire and dragon to base, thank you for your cooperation sir, ma'am." The wolf says. The snake bites me and I'm sent to a dreamless sleep.

My eyes flutter open and I see bright, white lights, in a white room. Groaning I get up from the floor I have been dumped on and look around my surroundings. I'm in a small white room, with only the door being a different colour, metallic grey. There is a white bench on one wall. White lights light up the room. The room is tiled.
"Where am I?" I wonder.
"Stuck with me." Thomas says from behind me. I twirl around and face my former friend.
"Looks like we're stuck here. Or you are stuck with me." Thomas says cheerfully.
"Watch it!" I snarl.
"What? All I did is hint to something greater."
"You infected my parent's, nearly killed me three times and ruined my parents peaceful existence! I think me being a dragon was too much for them."
"And what did you do? Run away, letting me infect them. But no more. Your here at my mercy."
"Your mercy, my foot."
"Haven't you realised? This room is too small for you. And the form of punishment here is electrocution. Your at my mercy"
I snarl at Thomas and sit down on the bench, head in my hands. I hear Thomas walk towards me, but I'm too distraught to pay notice. Until I feel he's fingers stroke my neck, then I pay notice.
"What!" I snarl. Thomas removes hus hand from my neck.
"Oh so your paying attention. That could have been my fangs on your neck you know." Thomas sneers.
"Oh so brave now that your not facing two angry dragons now?"
Now it's Thomas'es turn to sit on the bench with his head in his hands.
"All I ever wanted was to not feel alone, to know that my friend is also like me. Now I feel more alone than ever." Thomas sighs.
"All I ever did was drink some cranberry juice, then life changed for me." I tell Thomas.
"Really?"
"Yeah."
There is a big pause.
"I guess I just better accept who I am now. A vampire. Maybe if I wasn't so selfish I wouldn't be here." Thomas says.
"I can't believe that it took you getting locked in a room to figure that out. All it took was a nagging voice in my head..."
"Hey!" The dragon complains.
"...And a look at myself to realise who I am." I say.
"You are very lucky. I'm jealous actually, of you being a dragon. Flight, armour, fire, you have it all. All I have is being a little bit fast, fangs and a thirst for blood." Thomas says.
"But you aren't weak to electricity and neither do you find it hard to blend in with humans." I point out.
"No way! With these fangs? School was tough man."
"Not as tough as it would have been for me. You see things didn't go well for me. You saw the tongue didn't you? It's shaped like a snakes. And after you shocked me with that nandy dandy tazer, my eyes will never be the same."
"I guess your right. Accepting what and who you are."
I give my hand out to Thomas and he shakes it. We're friends again.
"I do have one question. You have a cut that's still open, can I have some of the blood?" Thomas asks.
