CHAPTER 28 - THE WALKING DEAD

Hi everyone!!!

Happy New Year (she says three weeks into 2019)!!!!

So, here is the next chapter!!! 

I hope you all like it! 

Also, know that this chapter references many aspects of Heather and Eret's travels so things might not make sense but you will get some idea of some of the things they got up to, with their friend Pedro Lombard (I say that term loosely in regard to Eret! XD)

Also, I cannot remember the name of Eret's pirate ship (not his dragon-hunting ship) and I cannot remember if I gave it a name in the past. I tried to find it but I cannot so if you guys notice it anywhere, let me know! 

For this chapter, his ship is called The Silent Damnation.

*SOMEWHERE OFF THE COAST OF FRANCE*

OMNISCIENT POV

The captain of the notorious The Silent Damnation looked out to the horizon as he contemplated his next move.

He turned to the ship and saw the rowboats were missing – the crew had taken them.

After an argument, they left, saying they were heading Bloodbane Hollow – the treasure cove.

It was where the treasure was kept, and it was an unspoken rule amongst this crew in particular – the first mate could never know where the location of Bloodbane Hollow was, but the crew and captain were allowed. It kept the trust between the captain and his crew as well as preventing a mutiny from the First Mate.

The current Captain had started as the First Mate and was never told of the whereabouts of Bloodbane Hollow. He never knew why but he also never asked, hoping that it would retain the trust with the crew. However, that trust had gone.

They had left him as they ventured into Bloodbane Hollow – without him. They had told him he was not as good as their previous captain and they made the biggest mistake of their life when they mutinied against him.

And now they had left him, but they did say they were coming back to take back the ship.

The only problem was they hadn't come back.

They had taken only some food or drink and he couldn't help but be concerned.

Where could they be?

Were they okay?

It had been almost two days and he was now worrying.

What if something had happened to them?

Yes, they wanted to keelhaul him when they returned, but they were the closest thing he had to brothers – to a family.

They all supported each other, and he couldn't help but be worried.

A Monstrous Nightmare dragon from behind him grumbled and Pedro Lombard sighed, walking to the dragon and touching his forehead.
