The Tale of Minecraft

Roadblocks

The group finally reach a large building on the edge of town. Entering, They saw the floor was covered with minecart tracks, leading into various holes in the ground.

"Well," Tim said, walking over to one set of tracks. "This is our ride." Sitting on the tracks where seven minecarts.

"Is it safe?" Jojo asked. 

Tim grinned. "It should be. When they first implemented it, they had a problem with creepers on the track. After a few... accidents, they lit the tunnels better, and that fixed the problem."

"Great, just great," Muttered Mitch.

Tim shook his head. "It'll be fine. You'll see."

"I hope so."

Everyone get in a cart." Said Tim. When everyone was in a cart, Tim hit a lever, sending the carts speeding off.

Sky leaned forward from the back. "How long will the ride take?"

Tim turned to look at him. "About two hours. So sit back, relax, and, i don't know, take a nap."

Jojo leaned back, staring at the ceiling. who would have thought he thought, that this would have happened.  To think, a month ago I was sitting playing minecraft, not living it.  He stared at the ceiling, gradually feeling his eyes drift shut.

Jojo woke up to find the tunnel pitch black. he could feel the carts rolling on, but there  were no torches. looking back, he could see faint light from torches farther back.

"What the heck happened to the lights?!" Yelled Ian.

"I don't know!yelled Tim, "This whole tunnel is supposed to be lit!" Jojo heard the sound of someone rummaging through something, then the tunnel suddenly lit. Tim held a torch in his hand.

"Good thing I kept this handy." He said. Turning to look in front of them, Tim lifted up the torch. "Do you want the good news, or the bad news?"

Mitch frowned. "Good news first."

"There aren't any creepers down here. The bad news is, they did blow up the  track."

"What?!" Ian screamed, "Stop the carts!"

"we can't." said Tim. "They are made to stop naturally at the end of the tunnel.  Just brace yourselves, This is gonna be rough."

As the hole raced closer, jojo wondered if the would survive. It is possible. we might be thrown clear as the minecarts fall. We can only ho...

Jojo's thoughts were cut short as he was catapulted into the air. He barely had time to hope he'd survive hit hit something soft and blacked out.

Jojo woke to find himself lying on the floor of the tunnel. Leaning over him was Sky. 

"Good, you're awake." Sky sounded tired. "I hoped someone would wake up soon."

Jojo groaned. "Is everyone else unconscious?"

Sky nodded. "I'm not because i landed on top of you, and you landed on Mitch. I've been using supplies from Tim's bag to take care of everyone."

Jojo Forced himself to stand up, leaning against the wall. Mitch, Tim, and Ian lay on the floor. As he watched, they started groaning. 

"Owch." Ian sat up first. "That hurt."

"At least we're all okay." Tim pointed out optimistically.

"But we lost the minecarts" Mitch said.

Jojo pulled him up. "Then I guess we better start walking."
