My alarm went off on time today. I woke up at 6:30 not too tired, but I knew it was going to hit me later today. I got up slowly so I didn't have to face that mini blindness I get after getting up so quickly and I have to deal with walking around seeing nothing but black everywhere, followed with a temporary migraine that goes away after like, thirty seconds but it feels like thirty minutes. Anyways, I grabbed some clean underwear and my bra with a pair of jeans and went into the washroom to take a shower. After that, I stood above the sink and opened the cabinet above it to get my toothbrush and toothpaste to brush my teeth. Before wetting my toothbrush, I stared at myself in the mirror.

Face is looking a bit clammy. I'm gonna have to wash it. - I thought.

I brushed my teeth and applied Noxema on my face. While waiting for it to do its work, I squeezed into my jeans.

"Wiggle, wiggle," I spoke my actions, "jump, jump, squat, pull," I sighed....then washed off the face mask.

I gave myself another stare in the mirror.

Better- I thought.

I put my hair in its usual ponytail, and made my way to my room. Yes. Without a shirt on. Jordan wasn't so pleased when I stopped by his room on my way to mine to wake him up.

"Thank y--," he looked up at me, "are you kidding me? Get out, I don't wanna see that, Bree."

I laughed.

I went into my shirt drawer and pulled out my light-sea-green long-sleeve low-rounded neck shirt and put it on to match with my denims. I love denim. Then, grabbed my backpack and went downstairs where my dad was sipping a hot beverage.

"Hey diddy!"

"Good morning, Bree."

"Good morning, father," I said with a lot less emotion.

"I have to get to work early so you'll have to just grab some pop tarts and get your shoes on."

"Ooor," I grabbed some pop tarts from the cupboard and put it in my backpack," I can just get Miles to take me. I'm sure he's up right now."

I texted him right after to check if everyone is up in his house.

"It's not about if he is awake, is his mom is up. You can't just be walking into people's house like that."

My phone beeped and I checked my texts from him, then looked up at my dad.

"Everyone is up. I just texted him and he just answered."

He was gazing out the window this whole time and put his cup down and gave me a long look like he's trying to tell me as much as I like Miles, I don't want you at his house. There's just something about him that isn't safe. I'm just trying to protect you but I really have to go to work and I don't want you at school too early. He sighed. I guess, because you're my favorite child, I'll let you go.

 "Fine." He said.

I grinned slowly and said, "thank you daddyyy".

He smiled slightly and gestured his hand in the motion to get out of his sight. I grabbed my bag and shoes, not even bothering to put them on because it's perfect weather outside and I skip across the road, when the door opened before I even got there. I dropped my bag at the door and closed the door behind me. Miles was there smiling.

"Morning," he said.

"Hey!" I said reaching for a hug, which he returned instantly; the tightest hug.

"How are you?" He said, letting me go.

I smiled, "I'm good," I walked into the kitchen and he followed me. Mrs. Thompson was in there, "Morning, Mrs. Thompson," I kissed her cheek.
