Four : Harry

Dedicated to Ara Bella Velazquez (and her cousins) for being super cute! Love you all, thanks for reading!

Saffron stayed in my mind for three whole days after we met. Most of it was regret over not asking for her number. Some of it was curiosity over her hostility and parts were unease over the way her smile lit up her face and the way that made me feel.

I knew I was ridiculous to think about her but I couldn't help it. Maybe it was the fact I couldn't have her. Or the fact I was fed up with being single. Either way, I knew she would disappear from my mind soon. Surely enough, she did. Only because Kendall was in LA. She'd come to see me – thankfully without the paparazzi knowing – and we hung out. And after that, Saffron didn't cross my mind once.

The band’s time was filled with interviews, rehearsals, photo shoots, guest starring and everything else under the sun. I thought with being in LA – not on tour and focusing on our film and other things – our time would be relaxing but unsurprisingly, it wasn't.

Today wasn't the exception either, we were up early getting ready for some time in New York. We flew there and if I weren't famous, I would've been excited to sight-see because I loved New York. But I was famous and going to such an overpopulated place made it hard to do anything.

When we arrived off our flight hours later, girls gathered in the airport, screaming for us. It'd been three years and I still hadn't gotten used to it. I liked the flights our fans didn't know about because after a long flight, the last thing you wanted to do was put on a happy facade. I mean, some days I wasn't bothered, other days I wanted to hit something. Today was a good day though and I didn't need to put much effort into producing a smile. As we got a run down from our management, the five of us went out. I smiled and waved and took pictures with girls close to the barrier.

After ten minutes, we were ushered on and shoved into vans. Fans tried to follow us but our driver shook them off eventually. As we made our way to our first interview, I managed to get some sleep in. Niall kept annoying me though so it was hard. After a while, I opted to stay awake. The last thing I needed was for the boys to draw on me with vivid before our interview.

The day was gruelling and long. We went to interview after interview promoting our film that had been released not long ago. We sang and talked and when we eventually got back to our hotel later that night, I was shattered. After having a long and hot shower, I went to Niall's room. He was lying on his bed texting so I sat down next to him. "Where are the others?" I asked.

He scoffed. "Probably Skyping their girlfriends."

I sighed. "Well they're no fun." I paused then asked, "Do you have your eye on someone?"

"Not really," he replied. "It's hard to find some in this world because I'm not the manliest guy so I'm definitely not their first choice." He sighed then laughed. "Unlike you eh. Everyone wants a piece of Harry Styles!"

I groaned and ran a hand through my damp hair. "Probably to further their career. Even in this world I don't know if girls like me for me or only like the idea of me."

"It's hard being good looking," he fake-sighed, turning our conversation into a joke as always.

Despite myself, I laughed and gave him a whack over the head before sobering. "I just want someone to like me for me, you know? Don't you want what the others have?"

Niall shrugged and sat up, pocketing his phone. "When it's meant to be, the time will come. Until then I think we just need to have fun and live while we're young!"

I couldn't help it, I cracked up into fits of laughter. Niall copied and soon we were in tired hysterics over his lame reference to our equally lame song.
