Six : Harry

As soon as I got out of the building, my phone rang. Knowing it was Niall, I answered it. "What happened?" he asked instantly.

I took a deep breath and ran a hand through my hair. "She was just there Niall! You told me I'd never see her again!"

"Because I thought you wouldn't!" he objected. "It was like a one in a billion chance you would see her again."

I groaned under my breath. "It was the most awkward situation I've ever been in and you don't even know how bad I felt. I wanted to text her Niall and you know I did. Not I just look like a Grade-A jerk."

I was referring to the week I didn't get in contact with her where each day, I itched to do so. Niall always talked me out of it though. One of the times he even had to hide my phone.

I got into my car and put the phone on speaker. Niall said, "I know mate, I'm sorry. So what did you do?"

I hesitated. He was going to kill me. "I-I gave her my number."

"What?!" he exclaimed and I cringed. "You've got to be jokin'!"

"She might not even text me! I just left a note for her. I couldn't leave it like that Niall. We keep meeting and now I'm just wondering if we're avoiding the inevitable."

"Mate," he breathed, dragging out the word. "This is how you get. You fall face first for a girl and you always end up hurt. There is no inevitable, there's just coincidence or chance."

"I just want to see where this goes. Who knows? She may never text me. I mean, she was pretty pissed off at me."

Niall laughed, I knew he couldn't help it. "You did snob her so of course she'll be pretty pissed."

"She did look really hot when she was angry though," I replied, chuckling.

Niall laughed again. "I can imagine. Just come home mate. It's time we told the boys because if she texts you then they need to be told. We need to be ready. We won't take it to management. Yet."

"Okay. Thanks Niall."

"No problem. See you in a bit."

I said my last farewell then hung up.

I don't know why I gave Saffron my number. She was normal, I'd only met her three times and she was normal. But I guess that's what I was looking for; a bit of normalcy. Then again, she did work for a very large magazine company and what was that about 'knowing what the paparazzi was like?'. The girl intrigued me and I think that's what drew me in. Plus, boys always wanted what they couldn’t have.

When I got back the complex, the boys were all in Niall's apartment waiting for me. I chucked my keys and phone on the bench as I took a deep breath. Then I filled them in on everything.

When I finished, Zayn was shaking his head, Liam looked scared and Louis had a grin on his face. I bit my lip. "So what do you guys think?"

Niall backed me up instantly. "I tried the whole 'don't text her' but it was obvious Harry hated it and a fat load of good it did him in the end. But just think about it, we've stood by all your girl dramas. And Louis, you have a semi-normal girl given that you met her forever ago but still, you know what I mean!"

Louis shrugged but Zayn sighed. "I'm sick of girls dragging you through hell. You may have stood by us but we've stood by you through girl after girl after girl. Look at what bloody Taylor Swift did to you and our band! I won't go through that again."

"Well we can't all have perfect relationships like you and Perrie," I cut back even though I knew he was right. "Plus, it's not as if she'll be releasing a break up song anytime soon."
