I didn't see Subaru at all later that night. I don't know what Naoki has done but hopefully Subaru doesn't feel so negative towards me. I lie on my bed, surrounded by darkness since the nights come earlier. My mind replays the scene over and over until I'm interrupted by a knock at my door. I call for them to enter but turn and face the wall before I get to see them.
"Aya are you okay?" I recognise the voice.
"I'm fine Takumi, you can go if you want." I reply, not turning to face him. I hear the door shut and sigh, thinking I'm alone again but I hear footsteps draw closer and feel someone seat themselves on my bed.
"Subaru always acts like this. He's just a diva because he's so spoilt. I mean, come on, he's a superstar...what do you expect?" Takumi then says. I finally give in and turn to face him, giving in to the fact that life here might not be so easy after all.
"If he doesn't want me here then I can go." I state, not really wanting to leave.
"We want you here though. We're the ones that requested you." That sentence makes my mind race. Requested me?
"Look, maybe I just need some sleep we can talk in the morning." Takumi rises off the bed and clears his throat.
"Okay then, goodnight." He crouches to my level and presses his lips gently on my forehead before standing again and leaving, turning off the lights as he goes, which is good because the darkness hides my pink cheeks.Everyone here treats me so nicely. All except Subaru. Is that really enough to run away?
I wake up at six the next morning. I pull the curtains back to see an all-white city.
"It snowed last night?" I mumble to myself. The elevator takes me to the first floor where I find Naoki and Kyoya already awake.
"Good morning." I say half-heartedly. Kyoya, as usual, peers over his paper.
"Oh, good morning Aya."
"Morning Aya." Naoki then says, fixing the tie he's wearing. I ask him about the suit and he just chuckles in response.
"I have a case today." He picks up and leaves for work, since he's a lawyer. Kyoya takes a sip of his coffee and folds up his news paper, placing it next to the coffee. Meanwhile, I'm too busy making myself some cereal. I walk over to the table and notice Kyoya pulling out the chair next to him and patting it for me to sit.
"Is there something you want to talk about, Kyoya?" I ask. Kyoya straightens his glasses and opens his mouth to say something but he's interrupted before anything comes out.
"Can you believe it snowed last night? No school!" I turn and see Ryo skipping and prancing around the kitchen. Kyoya turns and picks his newspaper back up, not bothering to try and say anything anymore.
"Hey Ryo, what class are you in?" I ask, scooping cereal into my mouth. Ryo walks over with a plate of toast and sits next to me.
"Class D, what about you?" He replies.
"Class B." I answer. Ryo points to Kyoya.
"Kyoya is in Class A, right Kyoya?" I look at Kyoya but he just hides behind his newspaper, sipping his coffee occasionally.
"If I'm right, Aya can tutor me and when we have those tests in a few weeks I can move to Class B like you!" This comment makes Kyoya put down his newspaper and almost choke on his coffee.
"That's absurd, Ryo. You're just looking for excuses to get Aya into your room alone." I feel heat rush to my cheeks. I notice it on Ryo, too.
"That's not true! I just want to go to Class B. Maybe you just don't want me alone with Aya because you love her!" Kyoya almost spits out his coffee again.
"That's ridiculous! I can tutor you and get you into Class A!" He explains. The fight goes on while I sit there, awkwardly eating my cereal.
"I don't want to take Aya into my room alone! Well I do...but not for that reason! I'm not a perve! Right, Aya?"
"Oh please! You have at least two girlfriends a week, right Aya?" They ask me at exact the same time. I push my chair out and run to the stairs, escaping the argument as quickly as possible. I hurriedly put my card to the door and rush inside, shutting it quickly. I take a while to catch my breath and when my vision straightens, I notice a platinum blond boy in my room.
"Who are you?" I ask the boy, reaching for the door knob.
"You've forgotten me, huh? Well, I don't stand out as much as my other brothers, I guess." The boy says. I stare at him as he stands next to my drawers, going through all my clothes as if he's searching for something in particular.
"Other brothers? You're one of them?" I ask, feeling embarrassed since I've forgotten him.
"Yup. I'm Satoshi, the second youngest." He confidently replies. I take my hand off the door knob and walk closer to him.
"What the hell are you doing in my drawers? How did you get in here?" I question, stuffing all the clothes he's taken out back into their correct drawers.
"I know what you're thinking of doing, Aya." He stares at me straight in the eyes and for some reason, they look threatening.
