The game plan

"Ace? Who's Ace?" I question at Ryo's recent suggestion.
"Let's just say he definitely has some experience with those girls...and guy." Ryo continues. Kyoya chuckles slightly and takes off his glasses to clean them.
"Ace Rickman I assume you're talking about, Ryo." He says. Ryo nods once and Kyoya puts his glasses back on. All three of us fall into a silence as Koji enters the kitchen. We don't say anything. We can't. If Koji finds out I'm being targeted by my best friend and her weird group of new friends, he'd freak.
"What are you three doing?" He asks, grabbing a drink.
"Nothing. Go back to your room please, Koji." Naoki orders but Koji stays right where he is.
"What's going on?" He questions again curiously. It's no use! He knows something is up!
"Koji go back to your room." Naoki's voice is beginning to get stern. Koji protests but that's when Naoki snaps.
"I DIDN'T ASK YOU I TOLD YOU. RETURN TO YOUR ROOM IMMEDIATELY." His face is red with anger and Koji closes his eyes, exhales and nods.
"Fine." He mutters, leaving the kitchen. The three of us stay around the table, silent this time until Kyoya speaks up.
"I shall talk to him when we next go to school. With all this snow it's hard to tell when that would be." Naoki checks his phone.
"Apparently it's stopping tonight. By tomorrow you should be back at school." He announces.
"Well isn't that convenient." Ryo jokes, tossing the apple core into the bin. I stand from the table which grabs everyone's attention.
"Well, we can't make a plan until Kyoya has talked to this Ace guy. I'm going for a shower."

I head out and towards my room to grab a towel and change. I wrap the towel around my body and head down the hall to the shower. Just as I reach for the doorknob, it turns and opens to reveal Aito. He had a towel wrapped around his waist and that's it. He also rubs a small towel on his hair to dry it.
"A-ah!" I say, shielding my eyes from the sight and looking away, murmuring an abundance of apologies.
"It's fine." He says and walks out. I notice his cheeks are red also but he played it off cool.

How long can I live with these guys?!

I step into the shower and start the water, the warmth and massaging feeling relaxing me. Just like I always have done, I start to hum a song.

'Cos it's too cold~
For you here and now
So let me hold~
Both your hands in the holes of my sweater

I stop humming and frown, listening to someone humming...

...from inside the bathroom.

I poet around the shower curtain to see Subaru sitting on the floor (fully clothed thank goodness) sucking on what appears to be a lollipop.
"S-Subaru..." he looks up at me with a weird smirk.
"I-I'm trying to shower...could you leave." I request but he closes his eyes and continues to hum beautifully.

All I am, is a man
Who wants the whole world his hand
I hate the beach but here I am
In California with my toes in the sand

The humming eventually turns to singing while I uncomfortably stand there, covered by the shower curtain.
"Please Subaru..." I utter. He chuckles and stands.
"Very well. See you later." He gets up and leaves, not feeling any kind of embarrassment from sitting there.

How long was he even there for?!

The rest of my so called 'relaxing'
shower is spent stressing about whether or not Subaru saw anything. Although, there's a bigger problem I need to be thinking about.

My shoulder-length hair now falls past my shoulders as damp rat tails as I wonder into the kitchen in my pyjamas. Who knew it was so late all of a sudden?! I see Subaru in the living room and feel my face heat up so I head for the kitchen, where I find Naoki instead.
"You look red, Aya. Do you have a fever?" He asks in worry.
"Oh, no I'm fine thanks." I reply as a grab a glass to fill up.
"Alright..." he still sounds uncertain but he doesn't bother me anymore. I head up to my room and lay on my bed, looking up at the ceiling in thought.

Is my best friend really going to be my killer?
