"Telling Aya I love bread was a terrible dare, Koji." I chuckle and sit on the floor, under the tv and facing everyone. Hikaru sits next to me and I notice jealousy flicker in everyone else's eyes. Ryo, who's sitting opposite me, decides to end the game of truth or dare halfway through.
"Why don't we play spin the bottle instead?" Everyone glares at Ryo but agrees and before long Naoki goes to fetch a glass bottle.
"We all know the rules right? Whoever the bottle lands on has to kiss the person on the other end, okay?" Everyone nods in agreement but Kyoya raises his hand.
"We're all brothers with the exception of Aya. Isn't this a tad weird?" He exclaims. Everyone shrugs it off and I hear several 'we used to kiss each other goodnight' and 'who cares' and 'whatever's. Eventually the first spin is spun.
"Naoki and Aito!" Aito unwillingly shuffles over to his brother and places a kiss on his lips before pulling a disgusted face which makes everyone else burst into laughter. After that it was Koji and Kyoya and they weren't too bad.
"Ryo and..." the bottle was obviously facing my direction but it wasn't me...
"Hikaru!" Naoki shouts. The bottle doesn't lie and it clearly points to the twins.
"No! That's twincest!"
"Most of us have kissed each other by now. Come on." Reluctantly the two shuffle to the middle and lightly peck each other's lips, leaving everyone else in tears with laughter. The game eventually dies down and we all disperse. Some of us go to hang up Christmas decorations and others just leave for our rooms. I, on the other hand, go to the tree in the garden. Small flakes of snow gently settle on it's branches as the soft winter wind tickles my face. It's so calm..."I fell out of this tree once." I turn around to see Ryo standing next to me eating an apple, as usual.
"Why am I not surprised..."
"I landed on Hikaru."
"Of course you did."
"He was the one that had to go to hospital. I was fine; I had a human pillow." I laugh at this and he joins in, reaching to the ground for something and when he comes back up, a ball of snow hits my face at a string force.
"Oh no you didn't!" I shout, going to scoop some up myself. We begin a fun little snowball fight underneath the dark night sky (at one point Ryo through the apple instead of a snowball). He launched another at me but this time I dodge, only to hear it hit someone else. We both stop and I turn around, looking at Takumi picking bits of snow out his blonde hair.
"Takumi I am so sorry..." I utter. Yet he smirks.
"You silly girl, Aya." He scoops a huge ball of snow into his hand and slowly steps towards me. I back away and grin back, scooping some myself. I swing and launch it at him, only to see him dodge and the snowball flies past him, hitting Hikaru in the face.
"Hey!" It does on for a while, us four throwing snowballs and hitting each other until Kyoya comes to tell us it's almost midnight and at that, we return to our rooms, panting and out of breath.
"Good game." I tell Ryo just before we part ways.
"Indeed." He replies. The two of us snigger before leaving. Once I'm in my room I change and lay in bed, unable to see anything but pitch black and the small glow of the moon through a crack in my curtains. I sigh and face the wall, a tear slipping down my face.Is tomorrow really going to be a day of fun?
