The Visit

I hang up and rush back into the house, slamming the back door in panic.
"What's wrong?" Subaru asks.
"I-it's my friend. She wants to visit." I hurriedly reply. Kyoya walks by, coffee in hand, and frowns.
"What's the problem in that?" He asks, sipping his coffee.
"Well I don't really think it's normal for one girl to live with nine men." I argue.
"Eight actually, Aito hasn't been home in a while." Subaru says.
"Whatever. What am I going to do?!" I crouch with my face buried in my hands. Kyoya approaches me and places a hand on my shoulder in a comforting manner.
"Trust us, Aya. Please." I look up at him and his kind smile, which puts one on my face.
"Okay..."

I collect all seven of them (since Naoki has left for work) and assign them chores.
"Okay! Kyoya you're on hoovering duty. Takumi you're on dusting duty. Subaru, you're on laundry duty. Ryo and Hikaru you're on washing up and drying up duty. Satoshi you're on mopping duty and lastly, Koji...uh...you can...make sure you don't eat the cakes in the cupboards! Let's do this!" After being assigned a chore, all of us hop to it. Very few arguments break out and so far, it's going pretty well.

After an hour or so, we all meet back in the kitchen.
"Done?" I ask everyone.
"Done!" Everyone says simultaneously. One small voice speaks up, though.
"Uh, Aya?" Koji says.
"Yes?" I reply, looking down at him. When he looks back up at me he has tears in his eyes.
"I ate the cakes." Everyone chuckles, including me.
"Don't worry about it." I say with a cheerful smile. Everything is fine and sorted. The only thing left to do is call her. I take my phone out into the snow and listen to it ring until her cackled voice picks up.
"Aya? What's up?"
"You wanna come over to mine now?" I ask, smiling behind the phone.
"Hell to the yeah!"
"Great! I'll text you the address!" I hang up and tap on my keyboard to type our address and sent it to her. In a matter of moments she texts back saying 'On my way :D'. For some reason, however, worry and dread still tug at the back of my mind.

Moments later there's a knock at the main door, which is unusual considering this is an apartment complex. Before I could get to it, Koji answers the door.
"Aw! Hey there little guy! Am I in the wrong house?" Georgia asks, fawning over little Koji.
"I'm nine years old and no, you haven't. Come in, Georgia." Georgia steps in, noticing me as she does. She runs over and wraps her arms around me, pulling me into an unwanted hug.
"Hey..." I mutter with the little breath she's given me.
"This place is nice!" She says under her breath as she looks around the place.
"Why thank you, it's taken a while for it to get this good." Kyoya says, walking into the kitchen with his usual mug of coffee.
"Who is that?" Georgia asks seductively, wiggling her eyebrows at Kyoya.
"Oh that's Kyoya Takagawa, my housemate." I say, trying not to make eye contact with Kyoya as I say that.
"Ah~ housemates and lovers aren't we, Aya darling?" A voice says above us. I look up red-faced to see Ryo standing on the balcony.
"Aha~ that's not true-"
"You have a boyfriend?!?" Georgia shouts in disbelief. Ryo snickers on the balcony.
"N-no that's just Ryo Takagawa from Class D. I have no idea what he's talking about when he calls us lovers!" I awkwardly chuckle at the end, shrugging.
"Sorry Georg, can we have a minute alone? We'll be right back!" I summon Ryo harshly down from the balcony and have Koji and Kyoya follow me into the elevator, where we close the doors and stay there.
"This is why I didn't want her to come!" I hiss.
"Why?" Ryo asks. I shoot him an angry glare.
"You know exactly why. Please be on your best behaviour! She's my best friend and if she thinks you guys are weird she won't talk to me again." The thought of my best friend thinking I'm weird and leaving is a nightmare to me and I want to do all I can to prevent that but the boys just aren't cooperating.
"I understand, Aya. We will stay out of your way." Kyoya maturely states. He opens the door for me and once I'm out, presses the button for the second floor. Meanwhile, I make my way back to Georgia but when I enter the kitchen I notice she's not alone.
"I-I..."
"You're speechless?"
"Yes. M-my best friend lives with you? T-that's amazing!"
"Aw you flatter me."
Once I get closer, I can make sense of what's going on.
"Subaru?" Of course Georgia knows Subaru. Apparently she listens to his songs.
"Oh sorry, Aya, did you want some girly time?" Subaru turns away from Georgia to face me and Georgia uses this to signal a 'no let him stay' to me.
"Yes I wanted some girly time with my best friend." I state, frowning at both of them.
"Ah, well I apologise. I'll be off!" Subaru stands and wanders to the stairs, leaving me and Georgia alone.
"Why didn't you let him stay?" She whines, crossing her arms and hugging like a three year old.
"Because you're here to see me, aren't you?" I exclaim, hiding the fact I'm deeply offended she'd do this to me.
"But he's fun!" She moans.
"I'm fun! I'm your best friend!" Tears begin to sting my eyes. She shouldn't be putting up this much of a fight. She's supposed to be my best friend.
"Yeah but he's famous! Imagine going to school and saying 'hey I hung out with Subaru Takagawa the other day'. Wouldn't it be cool?" She says with a smile. I just close my eyes, though, and feel the warm tears make their way to my chin.
"Get out..." I whisper.
"What did you say?" She asks.
"Get out!" I scream, my face heating up as I point to the door and my shirt is getting soaked with tears.
"Why?" She questions, making her way to the door. I open it and look at her pathetically.
"You would really abandon me for a famous person with a click of your fingers? I know you're not loyal, now. I know you're not loyal." With that, I shut the door, leaving her behind it. I scurry to my room and lock the door once I make it, jumping on to my bed and crying into my pillow after.

As I'm crying, I feel something under the pillow.
