Being the emotionally damaged person that I am, a tear rolled down my cheek.

"Thank you..", I whispered.

He just gave me a questioning look in return.

"For getting me home last night.", I said clearing my throat.

"How'd you know it was me?", he raised an eyebrow.

"The webcam of my laptop, it's always on.", I stated finally meeting his gaze.

He nodded in return.

I continued reading the book I was holding, he too read with thorough sincerity.

"Excuse me, young people. It's time for us to close the library. Do you want to issue the books?", the librarian who was in her early 50's interrupted.

"Um.. I guess I'll just issue it some other time.", I said returning the book.

"What about you, young man?", the lady said collecting the book from my hand.

"Some other time, hopefully.", he said smiling at the librarian.

"Oh, young love.", she giggled and left.

Soon, everyone started leaving the library.

"D-do you..", I said stuttering. "I mean good night.", I cut off my own sentence.

"Do you want me to walk you home, Alex?", the guy reads my mind. All the time.

"I don't know. You must be living far and your car is parked, so I guess I'll walk alone.", I said pointing towards his car. "Moreover you've already done a lot for me and you know, I can't take anymore favours because then that is selfish. You getting what I'm trying to say-", he held my left arm with his right. Pulled me closer and put his left hand on my mouth.

"I asked if you wanted me to walk you home.", he sighed.

I nodded with his hand still on my mouth. He released me.

"Come on.", he said holding my hand. "Geez! My baby sure speaks a lot.", I heard him mutter beneath his breath causing me to smile.

"I meant what I said last night.", I said breaking the silence. We were still holding hands, both of us, purposefully walking slow.

He loosened his grip around my hand. God! I held his hand tighter, this time, intertwining our fingers. He looked at me in confusion.

"Not about what I said in the club, about not being bothered about your presence.", I cleared. "I mean, I meant it when I said I missed you. I mean it in my sober state too.", I looked into his eyes.

"I meant what I said last night too.", he had a smirk on his face. The cute kind. I was blushing right now. He was talking about the part when he kissed me and said that he loves me, before leaving last night.

"What news were you talking about? Last night?", I questioned with anxiety.

"Which one?", he said rubbing his jaw.

Was he trying to turn me on right now? Because if he was, it was working so well.

"You were talking to this guy, Luke I guess. You said some news would make me happy?", I continued in a very serious manner.

"I said it'd make my girl happy.", he stopped walking.

"Oh ya, of course.", I said pulling my hand away from his and nervously rubbing the strap of my shoulder bag. "I just assume too much. I'm sorry.", I said with a fake chuckle.

"You assume right, most of the times.", he came closer and whispered in my ear.

Next thing I know, I was tightly caught in his embrace.
