Chapter 6

I waited for Killian to come home, my hair damp. When I heard the car pull in I slipped on my shoes and raced out the door with my purse in hand.

I hopped in the car and quickly put my seat belt on. "Is something wrong?" He asked in a worried tone.

"Lets just get going." I said ignoring the topic.

"Tell me what's going on first. And before you try and protest, this car is not moving until you tell me. I'm worried Saph, just tell me..." Killian begged.

"You're new nickname is puppy." I groaned.

"What?" He gave a small but confused laugh.

"You always find a way to get what you want by being cute and caring. It's not fair." I grumbled. He laughed and unbuckled his seat belt rolling over and laying his head on my lap with his hands up as a puppies would be when it lay on its back.

"Please." He begged with puppy dog eyes and did a fake whimper before giving a little laugh. I sighed.

"Fine... But get off of me!" I laughed pushing him up. He laughed too.

My smile lightly dropped. I didn't know how he would react... It was only a possibility but...if it were true, he would know it wasn't his and I was scared he would leave me.

"Well, it's only a possibility..." I drifted off.

"What is?" He softly placed his hand on my cheek farthest from him and turned my head so I looked at him.

"Morning sickness... And today when I was getting in the shower I noticed my belly was a little larger then normal...." I wasn't able to meet his gaze and my heart broke when his hand pulled away.

"So you're saying your pregnant? That's impossible unless it was someone else's though?!" He said in shock.

"I said it's a possibility! But believe me! I'm not cheating!" I begged him.

"Then how could you be pregnant?!"

"Remember the night you found me?" He nodded with narrowed eyes. "Well... On that night, my boyfriend had sex with me..." I looked down.

"But you said you hated him? Was it rape?"

"Not really... You see, I had no other choice but to give into him to make him think I loved him... I was hoping to just get by with a little make out but he took it farther... I couldn't protest because I needed him to think I loved him so I could run! If you really think about it, if this child was never made, I would've never met you..." I gave him a small smile. "And again, I don't know for sure if it's a child. It just...most likely is..."

"It won't matter what blood runs through the child's veins." I rested my head on his shoulder and looked up at him with a smile. "You'll still be the father of the child. And I couldn't think of a greater father for it." I gave him a peck on the lips before sitting back up in my seat.

"Well, let's go see what up in that belly of yours shall we?" He smiled at me. We both gave a little laugh and I nodded.

"Yes captain!" And with that, Killian drove off.

We got to the hospital and waited in the waiting room for someone. A lady came and got us. She did some tests and then my usual doctor came in and told me I was indeed pregnant.

Me and Killian were both very happy. As long as I thought of the child as Killian's and not Gabriel's, I felt a lot better.

7 months later

My stomach was much bigger now. Almost bigger then I though it would be? But I didn't mind. I was just happy to have this child. Killian's child... The thought made me smile.

"I better getting going Saph. You and the baby will be alright, yes?" He asked kneeling down and kissing my bump. I gave a small laugh as he got back up.

"Of course." I gave him a kiss on his lips before we said goodbye and Killian left.

I watched him leave from the window before I hurried and grabbed my purse and phone. I slipped on some flats and hurried out.

I was heading to the hospital to find out whether the baby was a girl or boy. Killian said he wanted the gender to be a surprise and I told him I would wait to but I couldn't help it! I needed to know! I was going to the hospital to find out today. Killian didn't know though, it was secret.

I was very happy once I arrived. Rebecca, my doctor, came in and took me to get my first ultrasound besides the one of finsing out about th3 baby of course. Rebecca was also a werewolf so we got along really well.

She said she had moved to town not wanting to be with her pack anymore. At the time, she said, her pack had a cruel alpha. She had planned to go back maybe after but she grew to like the humans she had made friends with. Her husband knew about her and sometimes they would go on runs in the woods.

It all sounded so wonderful. It made me wonder if I should tell Killian about myself. I most likely will but, when the moments right.

"You ready?" She asked giving me a wide smile as I lay on the bed. I took a deep breath and nodded.

"I just can't wait to see my little baby." I smiled widely. We both gave a little laugh.

"Now, this may be a little cold." She warned before putting a clear substance on my belly. I jumped slightly when the cold hit me. Rebecca's jaw dropped and my heart began to race.

"Is something wrong with the baby?" I questioned trying not to panic.

"Well, it's a boy..." She said which made me smile. Killian was going to have a little boy he could play football with in the backyard. One he could play catch with at the park. It was wonderful.

"And a girl..." Confusion hit me hard. I looked up at Rebecca and she smiled. "Congratulations Sapphire, you're having twins."

"Twins?" I repeated in shock. She gave a little giggle and nodded. "Twins..." A small smile lifted my lips as I thought about it all. Killian would have his little boy to play outside with and I would have my little girl to play dolls with or help me cook in the kitchen.

But it also meant I would have my little man help me in the house and Killian would have his little girl to tell her how beautiful she was everyday. This was wonderful!

I grabbed my purse, said goodbye to Rebecca and started to walk back home. On my way back, I passed a small store. There was and little narrow alley next to it ahead of me.

I looked down at my belly and cradled it as I got to the alley. A scent all to familiar filled my nose but before I had time to run an icy voice sounded.

"Mine!" He growled. Before I had time to scream or run a hand grabbed me and wrapped around my mouth and waist.

I tried to scream in fear of the man and my babies lives. A rough hand smashed against my head and then everything went black...
