Chapter 8

Gabriel growled as he looked down at me. I covered my stomach with my hands so he couldn't kill the twins.

He grabbed my wrist and pulled it away making me scream and drop to my knees. Gabriel drug me out of the room making me stop as I realized he was only taking me to Dr. David.

It's been a while since I've seen him. I guess I was happy to see him. I felt a little bad for leaving him, he was so kind.

As we walked into the waiting room, Dr. David walked out of the hallway. He waved us over and Gabriel roughly drug me over. I tripped a few times as I tried to meet his pace.

"I hear you want to check on the two in there?" David smiled as he looked down at my bump. I smiled too at the thought of my own little two bundles of joy.

"Just get it over with." Gabriel growled as he turned his head with his arms crossed. I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"Well," David sighed ignoring Gabriel's rude comment and turning back to me. "It's been a while Sapphire. I have to admit, I was quite sad to hear you had run away. Gabriel had the hole pack out on search for you day in and da-"

"That's enough David! Just continue with you're job." Gabriel growled cutting David off.

David sighed and lifted up my shirt a little to apply the gel. "Well Sapphire, if I may ask, what did you do while you were away?" He asked to fill in the silence.

"I started a new life. I found a boyfriend and we went on rea-" I was cut off by Gabriel booming voice.

"Shut it!" He growled.

"I'm not frightened of you Gabriel! You won't hurt me because I'm you're mate and I won't allow you to hurt David because he's done nothing wrong! All you are is just a short tempered, big, bad alpha who gets everyone to do your bidding by scaring them out of their fur!" I growled back at him.

David rests his hand on my shoulder and I looked up at him. He gave me a sympathetic look and then moved his gaze to Gabriel. "Stress is bad for the babies. It'd be better to take it easy on her." He said calmly.

Gabriel growled and turned his head. David shook his head slightly. "Well look at that." I turned my head to see what David was looking at.

On the screen there where two silhouettes of my children. I smiled brightly. I wanted nothing more but to take them in my arms right now and keep them from harms way. I felt as I could do a much better job protecting them in my arms then in my belly.

Gabriel was much stronger then me. He could easily pin me down and kill my children by punching my baby bump. But if they were born, I could hide them, or I could shift and fight off Gabriel.

"Are they healthy?" Gabriel asked. For a second I thought he was concerned for my children. It brought hope that maybe he could be a good father! That I could tell him they were his children and we could be a true family! My dreams were crushed as David nodded and Gabriel stormed forward.

"Good, now clean up and we will be on our way. The only purpose for doing this was to get you to stop worrying about those stupid pups." He growled.

I almost blurted out right then and there that those 'stupid' pups were his children but then Gabriel would know indeed that they were his and not Killian's. I narrowed my eyes at him, silent daggers piercing into his skin. There was no hope for Gabriel. He would forever be, an abusive mate...

Gabriel brought me back after David cleaned up. He threw me into the room and as I stumbled towards the bed, I flipped so my back was to hit the edge of the bed and not my belly.

"Why!?" He boomed. I was frightened of his sudden outburst. I don't recall doing anything to make him ask 'why'?

"Why did you fuck a fucking human?! I swear when I find that bastard I will tear his head off!" He growled.

"Killian is much kinder then you will ever be! You have no claim over me yet, remember!" I shot back.

His eyes shot to mine and he smirked. "Then maybe I should right now?" An evil glint gleamed in his eyes. My own hazel, yellow orbs widened in fear.

"You know very much that that would have a chance of killing my children!"

"That human doesn't even have a right to have children with such a higher up being!" Gabriel growled closing in on me. I leaped onto the bed and scooted back with ever step he took near.

"All beings are the same! Whether they be vampire, werewolf, human or for Pete's sake, fucking elves!" I shot back.

"But you're mine, Sapphire." He gave a frightening chuckle. "Mine!" Gabriel leaped towards me and I shot off the bed leaving him to land on it. I pinned my back against the wall heaving as I looked at him. His eyes gleamed as he was on the verge of shifting.

I raced to the door and struggled with it for a few seconds before I opened it up and slammed it shut. I heard Gabriel pound his fist onto the door. I ran to the sitting room. I was terrified-no! Petrified!

The hall felt like it went on forever as I raced down it! When I finally came to the large room filled with couches and chairs I was beyond happy!

"Sapphire." His taunting voice came from down the hall. I ran through the doors and straight to the corner leaping behind the leather couch.

"I know you're in here." That chilling voice came again. Tears were cascading down my cheeks as I sat in that corner trying to hide myself.

"Come out, come out wherever you are." His taunting voice sent shivers dancing up and down my spine everytime. A dark chuckle filled the room and then a loud smash of a wooden chair as it was thrown to the wall.

"Don't think you can hide. I can scent you and your fear... AND THOSE DAMN PUPS!" He growled fiercely as another chair was thrown to the wall right next to me. I yelped. As I was about to get up and run, the couch slid to the side and Gabriel loomed over me.

"Dear, you needn't bother to hide. I'd find you anyway." He smirked. I tried desperately to crawl away but I knew there was no hope for me. "Now Sapphire, is that anyway to treat your alpha?" He asked.

He grabbed my foot and threw me back. I yelped as my back hit the wall harshly. I blinked a few times and when I regained my normal sight I found Gabriel looming over me. My eyes were wide with fear. "What am I going to do with you?" He asked in a deathly calm voice.

He then looked down at my baby bump. I looked down following his gaze and moved my hands to covering my large belly.

"Those are going to have to go..." He said looking back up at me. With that, his large hand grabbed my wrists pulling me up the wall. I thrashed around screaming and crying as he had me pinned. My eyes tightly closed.

"1." He taunted. "2." My eyes shot open to see his fist pulled back about to make contact with the two bundles I had in my belly. "Thr-"

"No! Stop! Stop they're yours!" I blurted out without thinking as I turned my head and tightly closed my eyes. Gabriel instantly froze.

He dropped me and out of relief I fell to my knees. I looked up at Gabriel and he stumbled back blinking. His jaw was parted in shock as he gazed down at me with confusion. I knew this was my time to explain...so I did...

"They're yo-!" Before I could finish, Gabriel's lips crashed down on mine.
