Chapter 15

I opened the door, the smell basically leaped out at me. I snapped in the direction of the scent to find the silhouette of the wolf. It's eyes were an icy blue and that's when I realized who this was.

"What the fuck are you doing here." I growled in a whisper. Gabriel's exposed form soon was in front of me. I growled and turned my head the other way. "Here in town we don't walk around naked Gabriel." I snapped.

"I needed to see you." He said. "I don't trust these humans." He growled.

"Well I do Gabriel. We had a deal and you've already broke it!" I snarled. "I can trust these humans mote then I can trust you."

He growled. "Leave Gabriel. Our deal is we meet in now 8 days. I am safe and so are the pups and Lilly."

"How do I know nothing will happen between you and 'Killian'" He said as if the name were acid on his tongue.

"Killian knows about what we are and our mate bond. He respects it." I said my head held a little higher. "Now go. This is not your territory and you do not belong here. I can not expect you to follow boundaries, we've all seen what you do when you cross them." I growled.

"If I hadn't crossed them I would've never found you..." He said softly reaching out to hold my cheek. I caught his hand before he could touch me.

"If you hadn't crossed them my pack, my family, would also still be alive... I'd rather take that then finding you..." Tears clouded my vision as I turned and walked inside.

I turned once in the doorway to see his heartbroken expression. His mouth opened to speak and he reached out to beg for mercy but I shut the door in his face.

I waited a minute before I heard paws trot away before I took a deep breath and walked to Killian's room. I knocked on the door before slowly stepping in. He rose from the bed leaning on his elbow to stay up.

"Sapphire?" He asked before yawning.

"I'm sorry, I just couldn't sleep..." I said.

"Oh no, it's fine. Do you wanna sleep here tonight?" I gave a small nod before walking over and climbing into bed with him. He wrapped his arms around me and I smiled.

"Thank you Killian. For all you've done for me. And what your doing for me and Lilly now... It really means a lot." I said.

"No problem Saph. I'd do anything to keep you safe and happy." He said. His breathing soon got slower as he drifted off to sleep and I did the same.

The next morning I awoke finding Lilly right in front of me. "I'm hungry." She said. I gave a little laugh before slowly getting up.

Killian just groaned and shifted so he was turned the other way. I looked over at the alarm clock seeing it was 7:15.

"Don't you have work today?" I smirked looking over at him.

"What time is it." He groaned.

"7:15." He shot up in bed.

"SHHIIIIIII-Oooooot...." He changed his choice of words seeing Lilly next to me. "Heh..." He gave a nervous laugh rubbing the back of his neck before he saw the alarm clock once again. "Wha-!" He leaped out of bed.

I'm surprised he wasn't a vampire! I've never seen a human get ready so fast which made me laugh a little.

I took Lilly out to the kitchen to find breakfast for her. "Everything is exactly how it was Saph! Bye! See ya guys after work!" He said slipping on his shoes and racing out the door.

The car skidded out of the driveway and speed down the road. "He's going to get a ticket..." I sighed as I opened the breakfast cabinet.

"A ticket?" Lilly asked grabbing the fruit loops.

"You get one when you drive too fast." I explained to her.

"Oh ok!" I got down a bowl and some milk for her before pouring her cereal and milk in the bowl.

I grabbed a spoon for her and she began to eat. We were going to have until 4 together so I figured I should probably think of things we could do I'm the meantime.

I got up and walked over to the house phone dialing in a number. I placed the phone to my ear and let it ring 3 times before the person on the other line picked up.

"Hello? Killian? Is everything alright? You haven't been answering your phone when I call? Is this about Sapphire? Do you have an update in her?" I heard the familiar voice.

"Rebecca? It's me, Sapphire." I said.

"S-sapphire? Sapphire! Oh my god! Thank the moon goddess it's you! Where did you go?! Did Gabriel find you?!" She also knew about Gabriel and everything about my last with him. She knew how terrible he was and feared for my life every moment.

"He did..." I glanced back looking at Lilly. "Hey, your not working today are you?"

"No, today I have off but if you want an ultrasound I'm sure we can work something out."

"Well I was hoping we could hang out? Oh and bring Katelyn."

"Oh, alright I can do that. I'll be on my way. I'm so happy your back Sapphire." I heard her say before she hung up the phone.

I put the phone back before turning around to look at Lilly. I smiled sitting back down with her.

We made small talk before there was a knock on the door. Lilly's head snapped in the direction and tilted her head slightly. "It's alright Lilly." I told her as I walked over to the door.

I opened it up and was met with Rebecca's gentle smile and Katelyn's big hug. I let out out a little laugh.

"Hi Katelyn." I greeted. I looked back to see Lilly with a confused look on her face. She gave a little sniff and tilted her head.

"Wolf?" She questioned in hardly a whisper.
