Chapter 11

Gabriel was pacing back and forth when we got back. Once he heard us he walked up to us head low. "The patrol was able to find the other pups...but...all dead..." He mumbled.

Lilly gasped and I narrowed my eyes at him tears threatening my eyes. "Are you happy with yourself Gabriel?" I asked with hate.

"I swear, if you treat our pups like this, I will rip out your heart and stake it for all the pack to see before I grab Lilly and the pups, and leave." I spat.

Gabriel had a look of pain and defeat in his eyes. I stroked her back as we walked into the room. I glared at Gabriel as I slammed the door in his face.

Lilly went over and sat on the bed crying. I sighed and walked over sitting next to her. I drew her into my embrace and she cried into my chest. I ran my fingers through her hair and shushed her softly.

"It's going to be ok Lilly, I promise it's going to be ok." I said.

A few minutes later her crying died down and she finally dozed off. I lay her on the bed and drew the blankets over her before going off to take a shower.

I let the warm water run down my body as I scrubbed my hair with shampoo and conditioner. I felt a small kick in my stomach and cradled my belly. A loud sigh escaped my lips and I finished up and turned off the water. I wrapped one towel around my hair and then another around my body.

Everything was passing through my head, do I forgive Gabriel for his crimes beyond forgiveness or so I ran away with Lilly and my pups to go back to Killian? Poor Killian...He was trying to understand everything, sitting in panic not able to call the police.... I should've never brought him into this.

I put on some new clothes and walked out of the bathroom. Lilly still lay asleep in bed, her sides rising and falling as she slept peacefully. I gave a small smile and crawled under the sheets, wrapping my arms lightly around her small, fragil frame. I took a deep breath before I closed my eyes and darkness took over my body.

I awoke the next morning to Lilly nudging me. I yawned before sitting up and giving her a smile.

"I'm hungry!" She said. I laughed slightly and nodded.

"Alright, let's go get something to eat." I told her. She smiled bright before leaping off the bed. I smiled as I got up and off the bed before walking over to the door with her.

Last time I was here Gabriel would always have be delivered food whenever he wanted it. I was given very little and I knew it was probably because the way I acted.

I opened the door and Gabriel soon came from down the hall to the door. Hope was clear in his eyes but the minute I saw him a slight frown weighed down on my lips.

"We just came to find the kitchen, would you mind showing us where it is." I said in more of a demand then a question.

"I'll just have one of the wolves bring something here fo-" I cut him off before he could finish.

"No." I said sternly. "We can get our own food. We don't need one of your wolves to get us breakfast."

"There your wolves too Sapphire, you're part of the pack." He mumbled sounding slightly irritated.

"They are not my wolves." I growled. "I am not part of this pack yet nor am I your luna. Now, if you wish for this to happen you better step up your act!" I spat at him angrily. "I'm not being the Big Bad Wolf's luna! Now if you would so kindly show us the way to the kitchen, we can get something to eat!"

Gabriel's jaw clenched as he held back his anger. I could tell he was not used to being ordered around or being talked to so strictly, anybody could see it.

He turned around and began to walk off. I took Lilly's hand and we both followed after Gabriel.

We soon came to a large room with wood flooring and light blue walls. Lots of wolves were seated and the tables which were scattered around. They all turned when we walked in, looking surprised. I dipped my head in thanks to Gabriel and walked over to the kitchen area with Lilly.

Wolves starred at us from where they sat, the whole area dead in silence. I grabbed cereal for Lilly and poured it into the bowl before pouring the milk. I grabbed her a spoon and we walked over to an empty table in the corner of the room.

Once we sat down the area was busy with talk again. Lilly had scooted her chair next to mine and ate the cereal staying as close to me as possible. I looked down at her and sighed with a small smile.

A shadow then covered us and I looked up to see a lady and another man place down their trays. "The new luna, yes? It's my pleasure to meet you." She dipped her head along with the man.

"No, please dont." I said. She gave me a confused look.

"Is that your pup? I don't recall their being word of the alpha having a pup yet?" The man said.

"No, she's not my pup, just a friend. I never got your names?" I said.

"Oh I'm sorry! I'm Lexi Harrisburg and this is Maxwell Half." Lexi introduced.

"Well I'm-"

"The luna, yes we know." She smiled.

"No... I'm not the luna..." I sighed. They both gave me a confused look. "Gabriel is too heartless. I won't ever love someone like that. I gave him a few days to step up his act, he's been acting like a lost puppy." I groaned.

"That doesn't sound like him? But I have heard rumors, from Carson, that he's been changing dramatically..."

"I'm pregnant with his pups... I didn't tell him until it slipped when he tried to kill them... He thought they were a humans." I said placing a hand on my baby bump.

"Oh... So being a father has changed him? For the better I hope." Lexi let out a deep sigh slumping down a little in her chair. "I'm very tired of his evil ways."

"I told him his pack would be like this." I mumbled under my breath. A table on the side caught my eye. There sat two wolves, a small, blonde female and a skinny, brunette male.

They were looking longingly at the food. I could tell the blonde was holding her breath here and there in attempt to block the smell of the food.
