The clock ticks onward
Time moves forward as I fall backWishes and wants and worries
Repression never works in the dead of nightThe house sleeps around me
I want to join them in their slumberDesires and dreams and demons
Keep me wide awake long after I should be lost to the world as wellLoneliness surrounds me
No matter how hard I try to avoid itHatred and hurt and heartache
Are constants companions as well although I attempt to banish themIt's not always so bad
But occasionally it becomes too muchThoughts and threats and so many other things
I'm tired of it all but it's an inescapable routine- starr
