All things come to an end, both good and bad, days and years, sorrows and strife.
Yet they are never truly over for we continue forward, changed perhaps, but still ourselves.
I press on to see a new day. I chose to look ahead, only occasionally glancing back to remind myself of what once was.
It no longer owns me though - not anymore. It's molded me, mutated me, but I'm stronger now because of it.
So I say farewell as I move onward. I won't forget, but I won't let the shackles of my past chain me down for any longer.
Goodbye but not forever. Farewell until the morrow. Adieu my love.
Hello to the horizon. Greetings to what comes next. A warm welcome to the sunshine.
I am here.

Thank you all for the love and support on this book. I never though I'd share my poetry with anyone but I'm so glad I have. Posting this has truly boosted my confidence and I can honestly say I am mostly proud of everything in this book.
