Chapter Fourteen

*Kendall's POV*

I just rubbed her back and hummed in her ear. I played with hair for a little while too. I hummed a song I had been working on. "It's pretty" she moaned out. "Thanks, you getting sleepy?" She slowly nodded. "Go to sleep. Just one thing, where is your room?" She laughed a little bit. "Next door" "Perfect." She laughed slightly and cuddled closer. I twirled her hair and hummed 'I Won't Give Up' by Jason Mraz. She shifted a little and I got lost in song and began singing. After a bit I was totally belting it out. I sang it with passion. I sang it to Dani. She wasn't moving towards the end. I sang softer.

She was definitely asleep. I whispered in her ear. "I love you" and kissed the top of her head. I picked her up bridal style and took her across the hall to her room. I pulled the pillows off her bed and pulled back the covers. I laid her in the bed and tucked her in. I kissed her forehead and walked to the door I turned off the lamp and closed her door. I went downstairs to find her aunt and uncle in the living room. She slapped his arm. "I told you he didn't have bad intentions Garrett." "Hey, I'm Kendall." I introduced myself. "I'm Cathy" "Garrett" they said shaking my hand. "You can come over when ever you want. We know you treat Dani right. We can even set up your own bedroom in there." "That would actually be nice. I've kind of been in a hotel the past month until I move down here." "Oh hon, no need. That is way too expensive! You stay here!" I smiled. "Thank you" "No problem, hon. Goodnight." "Goodnight." I walked into my new room and laid down. I have a good feeling about LA.
