*Logan's POV*

The phone just kept ringing and everyone was staring at me. C'mon Ave, c'mon, answer the phone, I thought. Then, she did. "Hello?" Oh how I missed her voice. It didn't sound the same, but it was her. "Hey! Um, Avery?" "Yes, this is Avery. Who is this?" I covered the speaker of the phone. "She doesn't have my new number." "Um this is Logan. Logan Henderson" She didn't reply. She doesn't remember me. This is embarrassing, and very depressing. "Yeah, I figured you wouldn't remember me, it was a-" "No, no! I do, how could I forget you Logan?" I just sat in shock. "You remember? Wow" "Why are you surprised, you apparently remembered me." I laughed. "Yeah, I did.. Can I admit something?" "Yeah, I have to tell you something too. Oh I know! You're still a famous superstar, right?" She asked laughing. "Yeah" "Lets meet up in LA! I'm actually in Malibu for vacation right now, but-" "No way! I'm in Malibu. I'm at a friend's house for a small party." "She can totally come OMG Logan tell her she can come over." Dani said. I'm sure my face lit up. "You can come if you want." She kind of laughed but I remember her making that sort of laughing noise when she got really excited. "Sure, where is it?" "Dani, what is your address?" "38 Southbrook Loop." "It's 38 Southbrook Loop" "No way! My beach house is in that neighborhood! I'm like two doors down" "That's awesome! I'll be waiting at the front door! Come on down" "This is so amazing, see you soon." She hung up. "Wow James, thanks for the best dare ever" He laughed. "You're welcome?" "So what did she say?" Dani asked really excited. "She is in the neighborhood on vacation just like you were! She's on her way, I have to go meet her outside!" Both the girls laughed and squealed. I ran to the door and swung it open. I saw what I figured was a person walking down the sidewalk. I ran down the porch steps to the stone driveway and on down to the street. She started running. I ran towards her too. We ran towards each other and I picked her up in my arms and hugged her tight. I felt like crying. Apparently, she wasn't afraid to. We pulled out of the hug and she had tears. I wiped them away and laughed. "You look so different." "Logan, it's been six years. You don't look the same either. And your voice, I didn't even recognize you." We both laughed. "It's been way too long. We used to spend every day together. Now it's been six years and I haven't seen you once." "Yeah.... You never even told me you were leaving." My heart pretty much broke. "Wait, you never knew I was moving? But, I told my mom to tell you because I couldn't do it without, I don't know, crying." She smiled. "I didn't know until the day my mom drove us to the airport to say goodbye." "That's why you were so upset." "Well, that and I was losing the love of my l- er I mean, my best friend." I smiled really big. "That's what I wanted to talk to you about." "Talk about how you were my best friend?" "Kind of, since like the third grade we were always best friends. I didn't realize until I left that..." "What?" "I love you" "Well, I love you too. Friends can love each other" "C'mon Aves, I mean... I, I don't even-" She interrupted me with a kiss. I was so surprised. I kissed her back. "I'm so sorry Logan, I just it's been six years and I was just so overwhelmed and I don't know I'm just sorry" "Sorry? I've been waiting six years for that." She smiled. "I love you too, Logie"
