Chapter 5{**}

Ashton's (POV)
I can't believe I'm such an idiot for almost crying in front of Luke. I mean he was playing around but he made me feel like I was being forced to talk which is a big NO. I got home and slammed the door my dad wasn't home probably at the bar getting drunk like always nothing new sadly. I got in my restroom and took my blade out. Ten new cuts for crying in front of Luke and for liking someone you will never have a chance with. I covered up my cuts. I went over to my bed and went on YouTube. After watching a few videos my dad was home. I could hear his footsteps and soon he was banging on my door. He yelled at me and said "Go get me beer you asshole and make it fast if you don't want a worse beating". I walked out fast and grabbed the money. I was crying and he noticed and slapped me then said "Man up you wimp real men don't cry you are such a disgrace you should leave this planet oh wait but who would buy my beer". He slapped me again and pushed me out the door. I tried my hardest not to let out a sob. I got the beer at the liquor the man working there knows me and doesn't ask me for an ID since he knows my dad and that it's for him. He just gave me a sympathetic smile and I ran home fast so my dad wouldn't hit me harder. I got home and gave him a beer. He drunkenly smiled and said "ata boy", he then kicked me which caused me to trip. I got up fast and went to my room and quietly whimpered. It was still early and I decided to pass time by watching more videos. After a few hours I felt weak and decided to just go to sleep thankfully it's Friday and that means early schedule and after that the weekend. Not to mention my dad doesn't even spend the weekend home so I'm alone and no beatings until Sunday night.

Luke's (POV)
I finished eating dinner with my family and went upstairs to relax. I didn't notice the time and it was 1:00am thanks a lot Netflix. I got ready for bed happy tomorrow was Friday. The only problem is that I won't be able to see Ashton. I soon drifted off to sleep with Ashton still in my mind as always. I woke up to the blaring alarm and got ready for school
(TIME SKIP)
I got on the bus and sat next to Ashton as soon as I saw him. He flinched when I spoke to him and looked away. I tried my best to keep a smile on my face. We soon arrived to school and I got up. Ashton did not notice so I tapped his shoulder. He shot up and put his phone away and walked out past me. I got down and went to my locker.
(TIME SKIP)
Lunch rolled around soon and I wanted to sit next to Ashton. I told Malum (Michael and Calum) that i would sit with Ashton. They nodded and called me lover boy. They are the only one who know about my crush on Ashton. I trust them and I have known them since I was 6. On my way to Ashton's table I bumped into Bridget. She was about to cause a scene but when she saw it was me she blushed and batted her eyelashes. I mentally rolled my eyes. I apologized and before I could leave she stopped me. I looked at her and she was inviting me to her party tomorrow which I said no. She instantly frowned and walked away while flipping her hair. He walked to Ashton and sat across him. I said hi and he just looked up and then back down. He didn't have any food and and he was wearing those cute oversized sweaters. He kept pulling the sleeves down. I offer him a piece of my sandwich and he didn't nod he looked back down. I let out a breath of air and continued eating trying to start a conversation which I was basically talking to myself since Ashton would hardly look at me.
