This is for Via because she requested a Jily one shot. Also for Martha because this has a bit of Wolfstar in it.

"James. Stop. Right now. Please?" Lily begged him, her emerald green eyes beseeching, tugging at his arm.

The rest of the common room was cheering loudly and several girls were swooning, their disgruntled boyfriends catching the few that fainted.
He laughed and dropped onto the couch beside her, flinging an arm around her shoulders.
"Sorry, Lils, I couldn't resist."
She rolled her eyes but gave a grudging smile.
"Just promise me you'll never do it again," she stared him down.
"Do what again?" He said innocently, but eventually succumbed to her glare, "Fine. I promise."
"You promise what, James Potter?"
He sighed, raking a hand through his already messy hair.
"I promise that I will never perform a strip tease for the whole of Gryffindor on a table in the common room again. Or any where else." He added, looking deflated.
Satisfied, she snuggled into his bare chest as the rest of Gryffindor made their way up to the dormitories, buzzing after the nights events.
Lily was just leaning up to kiss him, one hand reaching around to grip the back of his neck, the other resting on his chest, when Sirius bounded over, Remus trailing after him.
"Nice one, Prongsie!" He grinned, "Though Moony looked too happy for my liking; I'll have to reenact your spectacle - hmm, maybe at breakfast tomorrow? And I might lose the pants as well as the shirt. What do you think?" He waggled his eyebrows at his boyfriend, and Remus looked mortified, his cheeks, still pale and scratched from the last full moon, filled in with crimson as Sirius grabbed him in a headlock and ruffled his head of mousy brown hair before kissing him softly on the mouth.
Lily laughed and fell back against James, soon feeling him begin to play with a curl of her dark red hair. Relaxing into him, she closed her eyes, barely paying attention to the marauders as they talked.
"Anyway," she heard Sirius say as she tuned in again, "Remus and I are going to bed. Don't come up to the dormitory for at least another hour - when you do come up, listen at the door, Mr Moony here is a bit of a howler."
James, and Peter, who had joined them from where he had been writing something in the corner, guffawed with laughter, and Lily giggled as Remus shoved Sirius halfheartedly. Sirius immediately grabbed his boyfriend by the shoulders and kissed him full on the mouth and Remus stopped struggling, melting into the kiss.
"Aww," Lily teased, before James pressed his lips to hers and she wound her hands around his neck, pulling him closer.
James rucked up her shirt ever so slightly, so an inch of the pale skin of her stomach was pressed to his tanned, toned abdomen, tingling.
"Oi, get a room!" Sirius mumbled against Remus' lips.
Remus' shirt, Lily noticed wryly, was already completely off, and Sirius' fingers were tracing patterns on his scarred stomach. A moment later, Remus was somehow in Sirius' arms and the pair were stumbling up the stairs to the dormitories, lips still locked together.
"Don't come in!" Sirius drew breath to remind them.
"As if!" James scoffed, then, checking the common room was empty - Peter had left for the bathrooms once the kissing had started- reached for Lily's shirt, fumbling slightly with the buttons.
"James!" She exclaimed, grasping his hands.
"What?" He asked, seemingly bewildered.
"What if someone comes down?"
"Then they'll get the best surprise of their lives," James replied, hands already on her third button.
"James. Seriously. I do not want anyone to walk in on us having sex."
"Why not? It's happened before."
Lily flushed, recalling an incident earlier that year in which Sirius had strolled into the empty classroom they had been occupying - well strolled wasn't exactly the right word. More like come barrelling into the desk they were... using, yelling at the top of his lungs about fighting off the strange creatures dwelling in the treacherous Transfiguration classroom.
"I heard noises!" He had said at the time, shuddering as Lily hurriedly clasped her bra and James shielded her from view. "Strange, animalistic noises! And I'm a Gryffindor, obviously I was brave enough to venture into the room to discover - well, actually I wasn't brave enough. I'll have nightmares about this. You don't have to do that," he added as Lily put her shirt on, "I'm leaving now, and besides, I'm gay. James is the one who should be worrying." Sirius gave his best friend a wink, trying to diffuse the tension, but Lily say him trembling in disgust or terror - probably both - as he exited the classroom.
"Yes, and that was such a great experience," Lily replied sarcastically.
James looked hurt.
"God, I meant when Sirius arrived, before that was wonderful."
James grinned smugly, pulling her back towards him, but this time he didn't complain as she did up her buttons.
"Ok then. What do you want to do?"
Lily settled back, her legs between his, her head finding it's usual position just below his shoulder, their hands, fingers intertwined, resting on her stomach.
"Talk to me."
"About what?" He said, confused.
"Tell me something good. A story."
"Oh. Ok," he frowned in concentration but a moment later his face lit up, "I've got it! Once, there was an extremely attractive, talented and sexy young Gryffindor Seeker called James Potter. He- Ow! What was that for!"
Lily had elbowed him hard in the stomach.
"That's for telling me the shittiest, most self-centred story of all time. I thought your ego had died down!"
"Excuse me?! My ego will never die down. It's not my fault I'm so great, and there's no point not acknowledging it."
Lily gave up. Four months ago she would have found this excessive boasting incredibly annoying, but now that she knew him, now that she knew his outer confidence hid how insecure he was on the inside, she found it almost endearing.
"You're right," she whispered, bringing his hand to her face and kissing it. "You are great. Continue with the story. I love you."
He buried his face in her hair, breathing in deeply, and wrapped his arms more securely around her.
"I love you too. So, one day, this amazing boy met this gorgeous girl. And he knew from the moment he met her."
"That he was in love with her," they finished together.
"And she knew she was in love with him." Lily said, by herself this time, her voice hushed.
"Right, and so- Wait what?"
She flipped in his arms so she was lying completely on top of him, and she smiled, her green eyes filling with warmth - and something else - as he pulled the hem of her shirt up slightly and caressed the soft skin of her stomach with tanned fingers. How was it that even his fingers were tanned? Lily wondered. She could never get so much as a freckle on her nose.
"I fell in love with you straight away, James."
"Y-you did?" He asked in disbelieve.
"Yes," she said softly.
"But I thought you didn't believe in love at first sight?"
She loved him when he was confused. Nose all scrunched up, eyebrows furrowed, hazel eyes puzzled.
"I didn't," she murmured, "I thought I hated you the moment I saw you. You were - you are - and arrogant prick. But then, after we'd been dating for a while, I realised maybe those initial feelings hadn't been hate. Maybe they'd been love. I mean, I'd only just met you and I was deciding I hated you?! Not only does that go completely against my nature, but also you can't feel such strong hate for someone the first time you meet them. It's impossible."
"Is it," James made the I'm-trying-to-remember-something you've-told-me-that-I-didn't-find-interesting-but-filed-away-anyway-because-I'll-probably-need-it-at-some-stage face, "scientifically proven?"
She laughed and leaned in closer to him, her forehead resting against his. She stared into those brown eyes, flecked with gold and green, probably going cross-eyed as she looked down at him, and he raised himself up slightly to rub his nose gently across hers, something he'd done the first time they'd kissed.
"No," his lips seemed to absorb her breath as she spoke, "It's not. Does it need to be?"
He ran a hand through her tumble of red curls, letting them pool on his chest like blood against his skin.
"No. No, of course not. It's real though. Just like you and me."
"We're real, James. So, so amazingly real."
He refrained from replying, instead tilting her head so their foreheads were no longer touching, instead brushing his lips against hers, softly, so softly, but enough to make her pulse quicken and her skin prickle with want. Then she was kissing him, her mouth opening as his tongue pushed against her lips, and she moaned as he kissed her harder, her knuckles white on his bare shoulders as she held them tightly. She bit down on his lower lip and now he was moaning and reaching for her shirt, her skirt, her everything. And Lily didn't care who walked in on them, nothing was going to stop her from doing this, right now, right here, with James. Except-
"AAAAH!" Sirius hollered, tripping over his own feet and falling back into Remus. "No, no, not again!"
Lily sat up off James, pulling her half unbuttoned shirt closed with one hand, the other tugging down her skirt. She tried desperately not to laugh at the expression on Sirius' face, almost symmetrical to the one on Remus'. But she couldn't help it. Laughter pealed from her mouth, and soon she was laughing so hard she was rolling around on the floor and James joined her, tears streaming down both their faces. Sirius was stuttering and yelping occasionally, and Remus, rubbing his back soothingly, now over the initial shock, looked like he was going to laugh too. And then he did, pulling Sirius to the floor with him.
"Remus what- What the fuck?! Why are we on the floor? You're not even laughing that hard! I'm not even laughing at all!"
"I know!" Remus exclaimed, throwing his arms around his boyfriend, "But it looked like fun."
Sirius' arms came up automatically to encircle Remus, who climbed into his lap and nuzzled his neck.
Lily and James stopped laughing and sat up abruptly to stare at the couple. After a moment of astonishment, they were on the floor again, along with Sirius who was somehow lying on top of Remus without squashing him - they probably had plenty of practise - and laughing harder than all of them put together.
Maybe she hadn't just fallen in love with James when she first saw him, Lily thought, even as his hand reached for hers and she squeezed it tightly, her eyes still on her friends. Maybe she fell in love with all of them. Or who she could be with them. Or who they could be together.

A/N

Hey fabulous readers! Thanks for reading this - I wrote it at 11:30 last night by the way. It's not the best written of my stories, but I wrote it when I was upset and it really cheered me up. I hope it makes you all happy too. Like McGonagall said, "Dumbledore would have been happier than anybody to think that there was a little more love in the world," and I, as usual, agree with her and him. Anyway, hope you liked it; please follow me, read and like my stories and comment! Thanks so much, I love and appreciate every single one of you.
