Hey guys! So sorry for the long pause. School has been holding me hostage, and with the election I have been taking some time to really evaluate myself. But I'm back and bringing a new chapter with me! Hope you enjoy! Let me know your thoughts and suggestions in the comments below. Ps, these next few chapters could get potentially depressing, so future apologies for the lame puns to try and make it a little better. Laters! ~

Tobin and I followed the nurse down a few hallways before coming to a room. The room was dark, the only light was the lights coming in from the hallway and the light from the TV. Morgan lay in the bed with a light blanket over her bottom half of her body, and she was sipping out of a plastic water cup with a bendy straw. She had a few small cuts on the left side of her head, along with some bruising down her neck. "Yooo this is my show!" Tobin exclaimed, sprinting to jump in the recliner to the right of Morgan's bed. She immediately sat on her legs and watched Spongebob. I simply shook my head with a chuckle as I approached the small chair to the opposite side of the bed. "Hey Morgan. How're you feeling?" I ask softly, offering her a smile. She smiled back, and I actually believed it was real. "Blessed. I can't believe I made it out of a collapsed building with only some bruising." She replied, as I took a seat. "I'm glad that's all you made it out with. I don't know what I'd do without you." I said, smiling still before turning to look at the tv. The three of us talked for a while, she had explained what had happened. Luckily she wasn't in too low of a mood, which I was thankful for. Maybe a half an hour later, the rest of the girls had joined us. Jill had gone back to inform the rest of the team on their findings, and told them to catch the next flight home. The rest of us had agreed to stay at least until the other two could make it home. Not too long after, a nurse walked in. "Ms. Silverado is awake and out of surgery. One of you may go see her at a time." She said, offering us a smile. All of us lightened up, Morgan barely even giving time for her to finish her sentence. "How is she?" The nurse gave a chuckle, then nodded. "She's actually doing a lot better then we expected. She's a fighter, that's for sure. She has a long road of recovery ahead of her but I'm sure she'll be fine." The nurse said, before pointing across the hall. "She's in room 217 when you're ready." With that, we thanked the nurse and watched her leave, before looking at eachother. "Who gets to go see her first?" Tobin asked, and we all thought for a moment. "I say Carli." I said, then we all looked at Carli. The leader had been extremely quiet, and she appeared to be pale. "I agree. Carli needs to go see her." Hope said, all of the rest nodding. Carli offered a smile with a dip of her head. "Thanks guys." She said softly, before slowly standing. "I call next." Kelley said, and made us all giggle.

I took a deep breath as I walked the hall, brushing off my slightly dirty uniform before walking into the room, closing the door behind me. The room was dimly lit, the forward laying in her bed with her face to the newspaper. "I didn't know you could read Korean." I said, sitting down in the chair beside the bed. "It's called pictures." She said, then giggles came from both of us as she removed the paper. I smiled brightly as I looked at her, even with bruising along her face and body, she was still there. Alive. I leaned over and hugged her, slightly shocked at the strength she had when she hugged back. "How're you feeling?" I asked soothingly, looking over her. "Like a building fell on me or something." She muttered, then offered me a smirk. I shook my head as I leaned back in the chair. "Hows your knee?" She then asked, and I smiled slightly as I moved it. I had to admit, it was still sore, but was fine. "I can bend it. How bout you? Can you bend yours?" I asked, hoping to make a joke. "Which way?" Jade replied simply, looking at her leg in the cast. I covered my mouth as I burst into laughter, which resulted in her laughing too. It was good to be talking to her again, and see she wasn't in too bad of a mood.
