Carli's POV

I finish texting the girls until finally I can't wait anymore. Just as I reach the door to make my way back outside, I see the two of them walking in together- laughing. I squint and watch them come in the door, both of them making eye contact. Kelley slightly shifts behind Scarlet, and Scar simply chuckles. "It's fine Carli. You don't have to give her the death glare, everything's okay now." The muscles in my embodiment remain tensed, as my forearms flex with my fists clenching at my sides. I don't know whether I believe them, Scarlet seems fine and Kelley seems- like the Kelley we know. What really happened out there? "Promise?" I say nervously, attempting to be as cautious as possible. "I promise, Carli." They both reply, and then my body falls relaxed. Running at them both, we form a group hug in the middle of the lobby, before I hear the elevator ding. I glance to see the doors opened, watching Tobin, Morgan and Hope's expressions go from normal to furious before they charge at us. To my surprise, they all scream and leap onto Kelley. Hope grabs her from behind while Tobin piles on top, pinning the poor defender's arms down with Morgan holding down Kel's feet. Standing in shock, my jaw agape with Julie and Scarlet both resembling the same expression. "G-Guys-" I try, but am drowned out by their yelling. "KELLEY WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE US FOR A GUY." Tobin shouted, and for a second I thought all hell was breaking loose. "Guys." Alex tries this time, yet nothing is carried due to the louder shouting from the other three. "KELLEY, YOU SELFISH IGNORANT BIRD!" Morgan squawked, and now even Scarlet approached to try and get their attention. "Guys come on-" "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU KELLEY O'HARA." Our Keeper screamed, our forward giving us a helpless look before suddenly the Beast spoke. "YOU GUYS STOP RIGHT NOW DAMMIT!" Julie roared, stomping her foot down and her fists clenching, veins completely visible up both forearms and even through her neck. Everyone's attention was on the normally sweet and darling defender, leaving her to clear her throat and nod. "Thank you." Glancing to Scarlet for her lead, the raven haired forward approaching and pulling out teammates off of Kelley. "Guys, it's okay. Kelly apologized, and she's still Kelley. Mistakes were made but they were fixed. I forgive her. You should too. Teammates can't hold grudges for the sake of the rest of the team. We need good chemistry, and we have good chemistry. We just need to know what to remove in order to form good bonds." Her words struck home for me, and I'm sure it did for everyone else because they all got off Kelley and helped her up, hugging her and telling her they were sorry. "No, guys... I'm the one that's sorry."

A few more weeks passed and we were back at training camp, my mind was a bit jumbled while I juggled a ball, waiting to hear back for Scarlet as she had gone to be checked up and evaluated to see if she were okay to play. The words still echoed in my brain, what that doctor had told Hope and Kelley, that the girl wouldn't and shouldn't play soccer again. Of course, she's stubborn. But I can't help but worry. With my mind elsewhere, I jump at the sudden call of my name. "Carli." I turned to see Hope, and she smiles at the fact she scared me. "I think Jade is about done with evaluation, Jill just went to hear what the medical team had to say." A sigh escapes my mouth as I cross my arms, letting the soccer ball roll to the Keeper's feet who turns and kicks it in Morgan's direction, a playful smirk on her face. I'm about to say something, but turn to hear Jill whistle. "GUESS WHO'S BACK?" She shouts, and I watch as the raven haired forward appears from behind her back with a bright smile. "Tis me."
