Hey everyone! Before I get started with the actual chapter, I'd like to throw out a bit of information. Firstly, I'd love to thank you thank you thank you. Thank you readers, and voters, and supporters. I started this soccer story less than a month ago, simply intending to write something I was interested in. I in no way expected to be writing a total of 3 soccer stories, and they're all going well. Again, thank you so much and I hope you'll leave your comments and thoughts, and maybe even suggestions. Second, I'd like to state my updating plan. I'm intending to update each of the three soccer stories, every 3 days. I know this is a day early, but I won't be available to update tomorrow. Thirdly, if you're enjoying this book and are interested in checking out my other two, I totally recommend it. I'd love any feedback I can get as I continue writing them. Lastly, I'd like to explain again that I do not ship any of the females in the teams. It's not that I have anything against it, it's just something I don't see. I see strong friendships, and that's what I'm basing these writings off of. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the rest of the story, and can't wait to hear from you. Thank you for your time, and enjoy. ^o^

I sat in the back seat, with my eyes glued to the passing city. Carli sat in the passenger's seat as Coach Ellis drove us to where they were holding Scarlet. Personally, I didn't know what exactly to think about the situation. I was concerned for the newby's well being, and hearing that they had falsely arrested her because of her protective instincts on field, it made me a bit frustrated. That's something I knew that her and I shared. I mean sure, our jersey numbers are similar. Mine being 17, hers 7. But I promise you, if Scar wouldn't have stepped in when she did, I would have. And Lord knows how that would have ended. From the bit that I've hung out with the new player, I really liked. She was soft spoken, but also a sarcastic joke loving girl. Which we connected with automatically. She's very mature for her age, and even though I'm unsure of her family issues or where exactly she stands, I can't help but want to know more. I want to become closer with this girl. Not only because she's just one of our average team mates, but because there's something different about her. I'm pretty sure one morning I saw her sitting on the back porch of the pent house, reading her bible.
As we pulled up to the jail, the three of us got out and walked side by side into the facility. Within a couple of minutes, a guard had lead us in to talk to the captain at the center. Coach Ellis did her best to explain to the Korean man the situation, but since he didn't completely understand English, it was difficult. Turns out it was easiest to call back home and situate a short agreement, the Captain was notified that Scarlet was of no harm and was falsely accused. I let out a soft sigh of relief as the guards sent for our team mate. Carli and I exchanged small glances, thankful that it was this easy. But as we turned with smiling faces to see Scarlet being escorted towards us, my smile quickly faded. The poor girl's face was trailed with dried blood, from a large gash on her head, behind her right ear, and from the corners of her mouth. There was significant bruised along her neck, and the red outlined the shape of chains. She was walking with a bit of a limp, and suddenly anger rose through me. Had the officers done this? Or had they simply locked her in a jail cell with a bunch of Korean outlaws, and watched her get beat to a pulp. I knew she wouldn't have fought back. I just knew it by the exhausted and pained look in her eyes. Ellis looked between Scarlet and the officer, a sudden straight face over coming her. "Who did this?" She asked sternly, and the man simply shrugged before he turned to leave. "Hey! Answer the question!" I added, raising my voice. I was about to go off, both Carli and Ellis knew my temper was nothing to be tested with. But suddenly, Jade approached me and gently grabbed my arm, turning me away from the Korean guards. "It's not worth it..." She whispered to me. It came to a shock, that she was the one calming me down. Her voice was a bit rough, but soft enough to snap me back into focus. I gave her a nod as she rested a hand on my back, and the four of us walked out, and headed back to the hotel in silence.
