An hour spent searching in the dark freezing cold, that's how long it took. Longer than expected, that's for sure. They hadn't come across just any old lighthouse, any old barn or building, no, they came across Alcatraz. The Alcatraz, and boy did it sure scare the hell out of them. The only was to describe it was with one word; death. It reeked of death, it looked like death, and finally, you could feel the death lingering in the air like a cloud above your head.

"Well this place sure does reek of death" Monty almost whispered.

"Yeah, maybe it won't be that bad then" Jasper said sarcastically.

The group walked up to the main door of the building. Bryan tried pushing open the large metal door, but had very little success. Miller came over to help. Together, they pushed open the door, which creaked loudly.

"So who's going in first?" Miller asked, backing away from the door.

"I think Clarke should do it" Jasper said.

The whole group looked at him with smug expressions.

"Shut up Jasper" Raven retorted.

"Clarke's asleep anyways" Bellamy said, looking down at Clarke, who had fallen asleep in his arms.

"I'll do it" Octavia offered. "Hold my horse" she said, offering the reigns for her horse to Bryan. He took them. "Besides I'm feeling extra brave today"

"Our princess has that affect" Bellamy said, looking down at Clarke again.

Octavia rolled her eyes and stepped inside the building, moving a cobweb out of her face.

The group followed close behind her.

"It smells terrible in here" Monty said.

"Almost like.... dust, moths, and....." Raven paused.

"Crap" Jasper cut in. "It smells like crap in here"

"Exactly" Monty replied.

The group kept walking, walking past old jail cells, still holding their double bunk beds and shiny metal toilets. The smell of "crap" as Jasper would say, only continued to get worse as they traveled farther into the jail.

The group walked into an opening, it looked like a cafeteria.

"There's the kitchen" Bryan said. "Maybe there will be something edible in there"

"Hopefully something that doesn't smell terrible" Miller said, pinching his nose with his fingers.

"Mouth breather" Bryan joked. Miller slugged him in the arm and then pulled him into a hug.

Raven stepped forward into the kitchen area. "Guys there is food in here, and it's all canned goods"

The group followed her voice and came into the kitchen.

"Clarke, wake up" Bellamy whispered into her ear. Her bright blue eyes fluttered open and she looked up into his eyes, then persisted to look around.

"Where the hell are we?" she asked.

"It's a prison on an island" Monty said.

"You mean like-" Clarke said.

"Yes, i do mean like Alcatraz" Monty cut her off.

"Now i can say i officially took a bite out of the big apple" Jasper said, taking a bite into an actual apple he had found in the kitchen.

"Haha, aren't you just so funny" Raven said sarcastically.

"Yes, i think i'm pretty funny" Jasper replied through a mouth full of apple chunks. "Hey princess, maybe you should make us an apple pie?" Jasper said to Clarke.

"No, Clarke needs her rest Jasper. We all do" Bellamy said.

"Let us at least look around and get something to eat Bell" Octavia said, using a can opener to open a can of rice pudding.

"I could use something to eat" Clarke said. The color had returned to her lips and cheeks, but her clothes were still wet and she was shivering.

"Of course, what do you want to eat?" Bellamy asked her.

Clarke put her hand on his chest and pushed him away a bit. "I can get it myself Bellamy"

Clarke walked into the kitchen and came out a few minutes later with a jar of peaches that she had began eating with a plastic fork. Once she finished she threw it all away.

"You should probably get out of those wet clothes before you get sicker" Bellamy said.

"Yeah, true" Clarke replied.

"I can come with you to help you find some" Bellamy offered.

"No thanks, i can do it myself" Clarke said and walked off.
