They trudged through the snow again, this time heading back toward the prison. Bellamy lead in front, Clarke stepping in his footprints since it was easier to walk.

He looked back at her and smiled.

"What? Is there something on my face?" She asked.

"Besides a mouth, nose, and eyes, no"

Clarke smiled.

"A little bit of cuteness as well" Bellamy chuckled lightly. Clarke smiled again. Bellamy began walking back again.

At the prison:

"I still can't believe you liked me this whole damn time and I never knew" Octavia said, laughing as her and Jasper sat on the ground of one of the cells.

They were alone, and they weren't arguing, which was a good sign that they were somewhat getting along.

"I'm sorry I've been such a jackass this whole time" jasper sighed, running a hand through his crimson hair.

Octavia shrugged. "Everyone has their shit. Mine being about lincoln"

Jasper but his lip. "I have been so selfish"

"Yeah" Octavia mumbled.

"No more though" jasper promised. Octavia shook her head and handed him another beer. She had found some hidden but hadn't told or given any to Jasper until now. "Thanks" he muttered.

Monty smiled to himself as he listened in on the conversation. He would never tell his crush how he felt. His crush being Raven. Or mag e he would.

He needed to muster up the courage. He went into the cell that Jasper and Octavia where in. "Can I have two beers please?"

Octavia tossed him two. "Since when do you drink?" She asked.

"Since today"

He walked down the hall and into Raven's cell, she was staring out the window at the snow flurries that fell to the ground.

"Good evening" Monty said. 'Monty you idiot, good evening is all you can come up with?' He cursed himself in his head.

"Uh sure" Raven hesitated for a moment, then reached out and took the cold drink from his hand.

They talked for awhile. Monty admitted his crush. Raven said she needed time to think. And both passed out in a slightly buzzed state.

Everyone was asleep as Clarke and Bellamy made their way in. They set stuff in the kitchen and took out a bottle of wine.

"A toast to survival" Bellamy stated.

"Now that's something I can toast to" Clarke gleamed and they clinked their glasses together.

Arcadia:
Kane continued fighting everyday to see Abby. They finally agreed to let him see her again. He sat on her bedside, holding her feeble hand in his. Her skin was pale, she had lost weight and the bones in her hands looked like they might snap like twigs.

She twitched and he stared at her face, studying the curvature of her jaw, when suddenly her mouth opened, gasping for air.

The heart monitor next to her began raging. Kane backed away. She was twitching, her body wriggling around on the hospital bed.

"Help!!" Kane cried out. "Please!"

Officials rushed in. They held her body down as she continued to go into shock, it had been so sudden, Kane didn't understand what was happening.

Until it beeped and her line went flat.

That day Kane lost his motivation. His love. Clarke lost her mother, even though she didn't know it yet. Kane was devastated.

He sat in the corner of his cell, swearing to a God He no longer believed in.
