Seeing so many people dead reminded Kane of the worst times. All the troubles the sky crew had gone through in order to be where they were at now.
He worried about the kids. Clarke and Bellamy and all of them. The snow had began falling heavily, as the soldiers moved the bodies of the fallen into the back of the jeep.
It was like that moment when you talk so fast and speak your usual gibberish, your teeth pierce your tongue and blood is drawn. You can taste the iron, the metallic taste and that gross metal flavor that lasts in your mouth.
It was like that moment except you could smell the iron in the air. The smell of death was definetly present.
Kane rallied up the soldiers and packed them back into the Jeeps, leaving one for the bodies of the fallen. They began driving back in the direction of Arcadia.
Kane looked out the passenger seat window, watching the scenery fly by. Trees and more trees. Suddenly the Jeep jerked and began to slip and slide, coming to an abrupt halt.
"Why did you stop? Go through the gates" Kane ordered.
"Sir, look" Perkins said, the soldier who had been driving the Jeep.
Kane looked forward at the gates of Arcadia. Standing their was a member of the ice nation. He held a gun towards them, which was odd because they believe in different weapons. Thy used there mere will power and determination.
The ice nation killed in cold blood. Taking their victims and slashing their jugulars with small arrow heads, letting them bleed out on the rough forest floor.
Peace. Peace was gone. Long gone. It had died with Lexa on that faint day.
