What happened to us? (mattina)

Ch. 7

christina woke up at 8:00 am and she remembered all that happened last night, she sighed quietly

"what's going on with us matthew?" she asked herself

she got up and took a shower and went downstairs to make breakfast,

matt was still asleep so she had some time to call adam and ask him if he was okay

she dialed his number and he answered in seconds

"hey chris, listen i'm sorry about yesterday i was dru-" she cut him off

"i know, it's okay adam" she replied

"okay good, i- is matthew mad? i- i remember he punched you in the stomach... chris are you okay?" he felt so bad for her to live with that monster she calls her boyfriend

"um- yea- yeah im fine... he's really angry at me though" she shed a few tears

"christina im sorry, i didn't mean to-"

"ad it's okay, you were drunk i get it"

she said

"chrissy he hurt you, badly... i shouldn't have left you in there with him... im so sorry, will you forgive me?" he apologized

"i forgive you, it's really okay... he always overreacts, but we're fine now, he apologized for everything" she explained to him

"he always apologizes to you... but it happens over and over again, doesn't it? chris he shouldn't hurt you like that, please leave him... you deserve so much better" he said a little worried for her

"i- ad i have to go... i'll see you later" she hung up and broke down in tears

she fell to the ground and put her hands over her face trying to stop the tears that were never ending

she didn't want to leave him, she loved him so much and nothing in the world could change that... and he loved her, right? or was it all in her head, all of the "im sorry's" and "it'll never happen again" he lied, it happened again and again and again... she couldn't understand why it was so hard to leave, why did she love him so much?

she finally stopped crying and got up to fix herself... a few minutes later max came running down the stairs "hi mommy!" he jumped up and down waiting for his mom to pick him up

"hey sweetheart!" she picked him up and kissed him on the cheek

"you hungry baby?" she asked still holding him

"yeah! my tummy is hungry for pancakes" he said excited

she giggled and kissed his cheek while putting him down on the chair "here you go baby" she handed him a plate full of pancakes

"mmMmm" he gulped then down so fast

she couldn't help but laugh

a few minutes later...

matthew came down the stairs and tried to kiss christina but she pretended like she got a text and got up to get her phone and checked it

she really didn't want him around her for today, she had to go to The Voice tapings in an hour so she went upstairs to get ready

45 minutes later....

christina was all ready and asked matt if he could drive her

"matt can you drive me to the set?" she asked sweetly

"babe isn't your driver here?" he asked holding her waist

"he's sick so he can't come... so pleaseeeee" she whined
