Ch. 12

christina woke up next to matt and remembered their tickle fight last night and she smiled

"mommy!" courtney ran in their room and jumped on the bed

"yeah baby?" christina asked rubbing her eyes

"courtney shut up" matt said pushing her away lightly

courtneys eyes got watery and her lower lip trembled

"matthew dont push her" christina hugged courtney and kissed her forehead

"whats up baby?" christina asked

"m- mommy i just wanted to say goodmorning" she stuttered

"goodmorning baby, but daddy wants to sleep a little more okay" she touched courtneys cheek

"okay mommy, i'll be in my room" she kissed christinas cheek and left

christina looked at matt and shook her head

"what?" he asked

"you didn't have to push her" she said walking to the bathroom

he grunted and went back to sleep

4 hours later....

christina and courtney were downstairs eating breakfast and matthew finally woke up

"hey sleepy head!" courtney giggled and hugged her fathers leg

"courtney get off of me" he was still tired, courtney let go and ran to her mom

christina picked her up and kissed her cheek

"it's okay baby"

"d- daddy? i'm sorry" courtneys lower lip was trembling

"whatever just leave me alone" matt took his breakfast and ate it

courtney started to cry "m- mommy, da- daddy hates me" courtney whispered in christinas ear

"no baby he doesn't" christina rubbed her back and hugged her

christina carried her to the living room and she played with the dogs

christina went back to the kitchen

"what the hell?!" she yelled standing in front of matt

"what?" he asked

"stop treating her like that! she's your daughter for gods sake, she wants to spend some time with you and you keep pushing her away! she thinks you hate her!" christina yelled

he just stared at his food

"matthew... she's gonna grow up hating you if you treat her like that" christina said softly

"oh and how do you know that?" that was a stupid question because she went through alot as a child and hated her father

"how do i know?!" she yelled

"chris i'm sorry, that was a stupid question-" she cut him off

"don't apologize to me, go to your daughter and tell her you love her" christina walked away and sat down with courtney

he put his dish away and walked in the living room and saw courtney and christina watching tv snuggling together

he smiled

"hey" he sat down with them but courtney didn't say anything and just hugged christina tighter

"i'm sorry courtney, i love you so much" he looked at her

courtney let go of christina "i love you too daddy" she hugged him and a few hours passed and they all fell asleep watching a movie

it was 9:00 pm and courtney got up to get a glass of water
